Here is a video I filmed today, around Bathurst NSW Railway Station, just outside the Station is this mighty steam train that was on display. it's a 51 class number 12 (5112) dedicated to Ben Chiefly who worked on this steam train and then later on come prime Minister of Australia

GO Transit empty coach stock working to North Bay Yard from Union Station. On this occasion being pushed by two GMD F59 PH class locomotives, No's 558 and 537 and note the fifth coach from the rear is in a unknown adverting livery rather than the normal green and white livery of GO Transit. The 0815hrs Union Pearson "UP" Express approaches Bathurst Street bridge on route to Union Station.

FL220 and an out of view GL106 race into Bathurst on dusk with 6L49 having just crossed 8938 around the corner at Kelso.
This train then returned to Sydney via Cootamundra on Sunday.

Castle class, 5051 Earl Bathurst makes a spirited assault on Washford Bank on Saturday at the start of the West Somerset Railway's Spring Steam gala. Owned by Didcot railway centre, she is coming up to the end of her current 10 year boiler ticket and it's starting to show, steam should not be leaking from the valve chests like that.

Well Monaros at Bathurst at least: these are HK 'standard' Monaros which were the entry level cars to the Monaro range that also included GTS and GTS 327. Of the three pictured, the first two are six cylinders and third 'Mako blue' example a 307 V8.

Bathurst Street is a major and lengthy north-south thoroughfare in Toronto, stretching from the Lake Ontario waterfront across much of the metropolitan area.
Diversity and Extent: The street runs through many neighbourhoods with differing characters:
South: It crosses the Fort York area and the Fashion District.
Central: It cuts through popular neighbourhoods like Kensington Market and The Annex.
Jewish History: The northern part of Bathurst Street, particularly further outside the core (around Eglinton and further north), historically became the hub of Toronto's Jewish community. This area (known as Bathurst Manor) still maintains many synagogues, schools, and kosher grocery stores.
Connection: Like many major Toronto streets, it is a key transit route, serviced by TTC bus and streetcar lines, and intersects numerous subway stations and major east-west arteries.
Okay, this was real rain. Bathurst, a couple of years ago. Sunny one minute, we blinked and suddenly this hailstorm came out of nowhere. Filled the drains and knocked cafe chairs over and washed them down the street. It was pretty scary, because the kids were at the movies across the other side of town. Luckily it stopped before doing the full flash flood bit. Still pretty dramatic.
