One of the rescued bears at Wildwood Trust rewilding centre was playing in the water pool whilst we were there. It had some enrichments to play with too, but it also just seemed to enjoy the water on this warm day.
I like the shape of this photo, less so the colours, but it didn't really work in black and white. There's quite a few photos I took where I liked the shapes more than the final photo.
Two of three Canada Goose goslings, having a splashy wash at Bramall Park.
More shots below, including the last one doing a Tommy Cooper impression!
Tuco loves having a bath in this old carry-out box. Green-cheeked Parakeets are common in aviculture and are popular companion parrots. They are playful, affectionate and intelligent, known as having a "big personality in a small body". They can learn to talk, albeit with a limited vocabulary and a gravelly voice. They like to be held (although some like it more than others) and can learn tricks such as lying on their backs, "kissing," shaking and even can be potty trained. Green-cheeked Parakeets are quiet, so even a unit dweller can enjoy their companionship.[7] They can be prone to biting, particularly when young, but an owner can cure this behaviour with patience and time.

Well David Bowie could get away with being weird so why can’t I? I’m not really sure what provoked me to attempt this photo. It was probably only the thought that no one else has ever tried it, so I would see what I could achieve. I’m not wholly impressed with the result, but it was somewhat rushed as I was actually trying to get ready for work, rather than having a bath for the pleasure of it (although I do enjoy a good steam). I thought I would try a shot holding a bottle of shampoo in one hand and a bottle of beer in the other as if trying to work out which might be better rubbed into my scalp. But the dynamics of holding an object in each hand, and keeping them in focus whilst gripping my heavy camera with mounted flashgun under my chin whilst still stretching enough to have my toes up by the taps at the end of the bath proved too much. And all the while I was being put off by my wife and daughter banging on the bathroom door demanding why there were bright flashes coming through the pane of glass above the bathroom door.
Oh well. Is this the first picture of toes and beer in the bath on flickr? If so I would call that an achievement: something David Bowie never managed despite his artistry and inventiveness.
But I did take insoiration from Flickr contact Matthew Fox...see here www.flickr.com/photos/matthew-fox-photography
I asked Mari why we take baths in this world, while we don't even have to breathe. She said, "Because water's sexy!"
I had to agree. Enjoy your bath, babies.
taking baths used to be my favorite part of the day...mainly i think because of the awesome bath toys i had. it was kind of fun looking through them again. and sad. mainly fun.
aah all my friends are leaving ajfkdla;. after i go it'll definitely be easier, but it's hard watching them go. or waiting for them to go...that sounds bad--i mean, anticipating their leaving?
in other news, i can't stop listening to the new kanye/jay-z album, especially 'lift off' and 'why i love you'...and 'gotta have it'. i've already overplayed 'no church in the wild'. thank you, carina :)
On the day I took this photo it had been over a week since our birdbath had water in it, due to the current drought here in Missouri and our personal failure to keep it filled manually.
On this day I was catching up on things around the house and finally got the birdfeeders filled and refilled the birdbath. Apparently the bluebirds were glad I did that: they took the opportunity right away to get cleaned up!
Mother Laima licking her daughter Iazua on the log! She doesn't know yet if she likes it or not, but I know that it's cute!
