This is a picture I took back in 1984 while I was living in Cusco, Peru, for one year as an exchange student. I chose not to dust the slides (oops, mistake!) so, well, they're kind of dusty!

Summertime is Bathtime. What else could refresh your Body more than a cold bath after a long sunny hot Summerday ? The tiny little people in little world are enjoying this too. She is ready to clean herself in an nice cool soapy bathtube. :)

Took quite a few photos today in between working on the remodel. The dogs wanted to chase everything away today which was very frustrating - but I still love them, they are bird dogs after all. This starling eventually decided to brave going for a dip. The light was amazing, and I knew I had at least one good shot for the day.

After spending most of Saturday driving to and from Heathrow Airport, I managed to stop off at the reserve for a couple of hours on the way home.
Just (literally) when I had packed up to leave, this male Common Kingfisher flew in for half an hour of bathing and preening. It was just me and the Kingfisher - very relaxing.
He is all fluffed up here after a good preening session.
