The blackbirds are grubbing around in the mud for worms, and need to freshen up.

Tucson Botanical Gardens on Saturday June 18 2016 with Dylan and Tania for a stroll and breakfast at Café Botanica.

With the heat wave arriving Sunday (115 degrees) it was our last visit for a few days.

Jackdaw taking the plunge.

After months of little to no rain some much needed relief came

I spotted this blackbird having a quick bath under the bushes and beside the Geums. Managed half a dozen shots before it flew up to the fence to dry off.

Always a traumatic time in the life of Riley. What could be worse than a warm bubble bath, a shower attachment spraying warm CLEAN water and an oh so obviously terrifying plastic dolphin.

Riley is currently undergoing counselling.

Already 4 clean out of... 25? Oh man XD anyways, I started slowly after 3 hours opening each piece of clothes and removing the hair stuck in the back before closing it back, I also separated real Barbie clothes from Fakies, trying to do some Fashion Packs ID too... And finally I cleaned 3 Barbies and a Ken ^^

From left to right you have Barbie Fashion Play with a short haircut, I'm actually surprise to see that it's an homemade haircut cause it's super well made, and actually really cute :o

the second one is Barbie Cut'n Style, the short hair you see on top is actually the real length of her hair, the longer part is just the extension , poor Baby, I'll have to find something to do with her, but she has all her jewelry, which is one good part ^^

Ken Costume Ball, just perfect, nothing to say, and I got almost his complete outfit, just missing the parts for the pirate outfit, but I have the costume part and genie costume :D

and finally Barbie Cut'n Style redhead, she's cute and her hair is still long enough to do a cute hairstyle with her, the plastic on her head is to keep it into place while drying but I'll probably have to boil her hair to be sure, and maybe add one of those Cut'n Style accessory, it could be cute ^^

But a thing that still bother me is that I already have that doll and mine has the same problem, on the back of her legs that doll has bubble in the plastic, it's awful, and I don't know why only her got that problem :s

On the day I took this photo it had been over a week since our birdbath had water in it, due to the current drought here in Missouri and our personal failure to keep it filled manually.

On this day I was catching up on things around the house and finally got the birdfeeders filled and refilled the birdbath. Apparently the bluebirds were glad I did that: they took the opportunity right away to get cleaned up!

I have decided to start a new set called 'things that children play with. Barbies seem to have become a social icon, one that has had mixed reviews from differing groups. As replicas of real women they are untenably uptight, rigid, with fixed smiles, narrow hips and waists and long legs. Always with long hair. Nothing real about them, or is there? Why is it then that little girls love playing with them so much? Ruby washes all hers and then they lie in a pile in the bath just like this. On the phone she said to me that she was having problems with her Barbies because their hair was so labour-intensive. "Why not cut it then" I asked. "Because then I don't like to play with them anymore", she replied.

Its always a delight watching the starlings taking a bath. Garden Dorset UK.

“I can no longer think of anything but you. In spite of myself, my imagination carries me to you. I grasp you, I kiss you, I caress you, a thousand of the most amorous caresses take possession of me.”

While walking by the Tree of Life, we spotted this duck hanging out at the base of a waterfall, apparently enjoying the spray. He was standing pretty still so I took a few photos including this one with a slow enough shutter speed to get good water blurring.
