While momma starling takes a bath, baby sits on the table-top water fountain in a corner of my deck. They were so entertaining to watch. This is a large crop with added effect from Topaz Adjust.

Year of the Duck - Day 132

On the day I took this photo it had been over a week since our birdbath had water in it, due to the current drought here in Missouri and our personal failure to keep it filled manually.

On this day I was catching up on things around the house and finally got the birdfeeders filled and refilled the birdbath. Apparently the bluebirds were glad I did that: they took the opportunity right away to get cleaned up!
