The view (from ~ 300 feet) on Bath Abbey and the city centre at night was taken from the Beechen Cliff Alexandra Park. Last December the centre of the city of Bath was transformed by impressive illuminations to support local economy and honoured efforts of NHS in these challenging times. It was aimed to make the Bath Abbey and the city centre visible from the top of seven hills all around Bath. I managed to do only two. Bath, England, UK.

Prior Park Landscape Garden is an 18th-century landscape garden. The garden was influential in defining the style of garden known as the "English garden" in continental Europe. In around 1742, a mansion was built within the park, which is now owned by Prior Park College. The features in the gardens include a Palladian bridge (one of only 4 left in the world), Gothic temple and serpentine lake.

It's Saturday 4th February AM and steam train LMS 'Jubilee' number 45699 'Galatea' steams through Sydney Gardens Bath heading 'The Bath & Gloucester Steam Express' from Paddington to Gloucester brightening up an otherwise dull day. The loco had mixed identities with the number 45562 Alberta on the cab sides and 45627 Sierra Leone on her front and nameplates -long lost sister's.

Bristol and Bath were the destinations for two steam trains on Wednesday 6th October 2021. Saphos Trains ran a trip from the Severn Valley Railway with 46100 Royal Scot, and Belmond British Pullman with 25028 Clan Line from London Victoria. Due to cattle on the line near Oxford 46100 was held up so the Merchant Navy arrived first. While Royal Scot started the return journey on time, unfortunately Clan Line encountered shunting problems due to re-signalling at Temple Meads so was 84 minutes late leaving Bristol Temple Meads and 115 minutes late by the time she reached Bathampton after letting 3 IET's through. National Rail managed to do a reroute via Richmond so the tour was only 55 minutes late back to Victoria in the end.

With the UK gripped by a national rail strike affecting nearly all train operating companies The Great Western Christmas Envoy was the only train stopping at Bath Spa all day. Steam locomotive 70000 Britannia can be seen here pulling away from Bath Spa heading through Oldfield Park having just crossed back onto the correct line after taking advantage and running bang line through Bath Spa to drop passengers off. We were very lucky a freight train stopped before the station to let us all have a view as the red light meant he should have stopped through the station blocking our view.
