Summer Bash Experience celebrated students’ accomplishments over the past 2022-23 school year and summer with inflatable slip n’ slides, water slides, and other water or field activities. The event was held in collaboration with Kauluhāweo Native Hawaiian Student Success Programs and ASUHWO Student Government.

Community members built instruments with Bash the Trash in four workshops in the Hopkins Center from May 6 through May 9, 2014. Adam (center) worked with Bertles and Piaggio to build a banjo. He had a very specific design vision for every step of every instrument he made, which included a badmitten racket, wood, styrofoam and duct tape.

First I spend ages cutting and sanding the edges, then I take my wire brush and bash them. I hate smooth edges.
