Not a great photo, but a fun one. This is the ceiling of the Toad River Lodge restaurant, Toad River, B.C. The name apparently comes from the fact many vehicles had to be towed out of the mud here when they were building the Alaska highway through here. As for the hats, if you leave yours unattended on the table/chair . . . and there are warning signs. There are hundreds of hats, so many they're running out of space and the walls and beams are being used.

There's nothing like a portrait of a child who is not posing for the camera, but is just being what he is -- a two-year-old. Here young Liam -- make that very young -- is non-self-conscious, curious, completely natural. If his hat were on any other way, somehow it wouldn't be right. The cool, cocky angle is right. A smile wouldn't do either, not for a solemn portrait. There is something special about a two-year-old wearing an altogether serious expression. One cannot help but wonder what he is thinking. Thinking? A two-year-old? Oh, yes. And especially this two-year-old!

We went to Wisconsin to see family. We took Connor to a Brewers game at Miller Park. What a great kid! Four years old and he wasn't bored or cranky!
This baseball cap represents my dad in many ways. It represents the man who taught me how to enjoy all types of sports (watching them at least…lol), a man who has always been hard working (he continues to be), a handyman for my sister and I, a passionate and nostalgic Cuban, and (most importantly) a man who has taught me that you do not have to be a biological father in order to be a loving dad.

As we landed on shore the kids started popping up out of nowhere. This boy was the first to arrive and immediately started posing, eager to have his picture taken.

I dig the hat, though I don't recognize the logo. The one downside was it made it very hard to get a shot of his face.
Cleveland Reds maybe? The closest thing I could find was a little known team called the "Chicago Hi Tops". Can anyone identify this team symbol for me?
EDIT: Kyle has informed me that this is the symbol for the Montreal Canadiens, a hockey team. Baseball caps for hockey teams... who knew? Nice hat, Kyle! ;-)
