These models were folded with the purpose of diagramming. The design is simmilar to that of an earlier model at www.flickr.com/photos/10595819@N06/4622678731/
An addtional couplet was added to make the shade curved.
Andrew was on the northeast corner of Lake and Michigan. He's been out here since June. "I got divorced and my wife took everything", he said, "then I lost my job", and that's when he became homeless. He stays either on Lower Wacker or the men's hotel on Van Buren (for about $20 a night). "I'm not a druggie", he said and as far as work goes, "I can do pretty much anything".
he was an little man who me and rockcake had a conversation with him on worthing beach. he asked me where is was from i told him brighton. he said it was funny that he has never seen me there before??? i told not really because there is 150,000 of us over there. he still thought it was odd. he also told me that some times youths sometimes throw stones at him, he dose not deserve that
In addition to the red/white/blue clothing and flag-themed backdrop, I also decided I was going to settle on 4 photos for the set. The strawberry blonde had a thong on and it'd be a shame if she didn't prove it in one shot. And I like the way Karen is pumping her fist in this pose.

Made from rubbish I found in Brick Lane for the purpose of participating at a Street Art Exhibition in Shoreditch.
Whoever discovered it after l left it in the street was welcome to take it home with them.
I'm not sure what the story is with the rubber duck, but these guys were hanging out and spontaneously struck a pose for my camera :-) This was on a small pier at the edge of Kootenay Lake in Nelson, BC.
A Japanese kid with a baseball bat and a Yomiuri Giants cap. This is a scan of a slide from a box of found slides and negatives from Japan. Not sure of exact dates, but there were some slides in this box that were clearly dated in the 1950s.
I don't know if these three were together, or just sitting on the same section of all, but they were certainly all engrossed in their phones. Not a really exciting scene, no decisive moment, and certainly no classic compositional elements to lift it, but sometimes, you just gotta shoot the stuff that interests you.
"Books are a narcotic."
"Les livres son un narcotique."
"Los libros son un narcótico."
―(Franz Kafka)―
The Franz Kafka ball cap created by author/artist Mira Bartok. The same Franz Kafka who once wrote, "a book must be the axe for the frozen sea within us.”

"Yeah, technically it's my day off, but the crew on-duty is at the hotel dealing with some other emergency."
Batman and his mum, looking for tiddlers and tadpoles in Teddington last weekend.
The event was the annual Teddington in Flower festival, when normally closed and private back gardens are open to the public for an afternoon, all in aid of local charities.
Hundreds of people visited the nine gardens on show across the town, and they were well rewarded with a glorious display of expertise, ingenuity, passion, attention to detail – and, of course, tender loving care.
As well as blossoms and blooms galore, the day also delivered cakes, lemonade, cream teas, hand bell ringing, plant sales and visits from the Mayor and Mayoress of Richmond. Not to mention Batman and his mum.
Organised by the Teddington Society, this year the afternoon raised more than £2,000. This will be shared between the wonderful Landmark Arts Centre and the Friends of Bushy & Home Parks.

Yesterday once the pressure of the BBC was off I wanted to shoot someone else (having sorted my camera settings) and I immediately bumped into this guy.
He was walking through the centre of the city with 3 or 4 other guys (who had plenty of tattoos visible) and I picked this guy out on account of his earrings and general demeanour.
He was more than happy to pose for me, he spot with a Scottish accent (like myself) and I sued him if he was from Glasgow which he was. He lives in Charing Cross which is right in the city centre.
He told me his name was Stevie and he is with a band called Funeral for a Friend who were playing a gig in Nottingham on the 27th.
I used the background to a computer game simulator that was setup in the centre of town to add some colour behind him.
I'm counting this shot as a final shot in my 100 Strangers project rather than the start of a new project because I feel I need to rethink my plans before starting the next series.
Thanks to all who have followed my first ever portrait series, I value each person I have come into contact with through the 100 Strangers group and I look forward to continuing with the group and with my own development of street portraits and pushing myself.
This is shot 100+1 (the final shot) in my 100 Strangers Project. See all my shots so far.

"I was actually on the beach when they called, so I grabbed what I could from the shed and came right over."
Posting outtakes from this year's Independence Day shoot. This shot wasn't bad, just kind of boring.
I have worked with Chelsea on many occasions - we did this fun roller skating shoot in her garden and a road near her house.
