I'm quite pleased with the way it handled on the street. The test gel cell batteries and 16guage wire on them, only allowed it to run 10mph with my 200+ on it.
I'm hoping I can get it up to 15 or 20mph with some tweaking.....

I bought this for $20 from a guy with a really cool little shop in Wrightsville, PA. I saw this same chair on eBay selling for $400! I was, needless to say, excited to buy it for 1/20 of it's actual worth.

Drove around town a little, after installing the new batteries.. Looks like I'll have to locate some larger diameter rear wheels if I want more than 10mph out of it. Still it's pretty fast and fun for around town. Even after a 2.5 mile run at an average of 6.5mph (according to the speedo averaging out the the start/stops/mph etc.) , the voltage of the pack only dropped by 1/2 volt.
I'm looking for 12" or 13" tire/rims to replace these 10" wheels, to obtain more speed. I have PLENTY of power, so speed is my goal now.
Note to self: When popping wheelies, the front brake doesn't do a lot of good, as a matter of fact, it does NO GOOD at all.

Dissasembled the Electric Wheel Chair, to clean it up, and decide on what to keep and how to mount a barstool in the contraption.
Each rear wheel is driven with it's own 24vdc motor, connected via rubber drive belts.
The JOYSTICK control operates both wheels through one controller.
I noticed under the joystick control, hidden from the user's view, a potentiometer with an arrow from 0 to 100%, this particular wheelchair was set at 50%. I'm hoping that if changed over to 100% it will increase the speed of the drive system twofold. Must quench the "Need for Speed".

A quick run of the E-BarStool Trike. The configuration during these first tests were with some old gel cells with 16guage wire. They did however get the Trike up to 10mph.
