These bar stools KICK ASS!!! While Christmas shopping, we always end up seeing a bunch of stuff for ourselves that we never would have otherwise seen. (Since the only time we enter a mall is in December.) Spencer's Gifts had this Misfits bar stool, and I was VERY happy. As we bought it, one of the people at Spencer's pointed out that there was JUST ONE Metallica "Master Of Puppets" barstool left, and that they were on sale as well. So we got both. Even the boxes are awesome.
Also, I couldn't help but observe that the stools matched the band's personality. The Misfits stool says Misfits on the side, but only uses 3 colors (black, white, grey). The Metallica stool has nothing on the sides, so it lacks as much substance and depth. But the top of the Metallica stool is a more intricate print, using more colors (black, white, grey, hues of yellow & magenta). So, much like comparing the two bands, Metallica is flashier and more overly-produced, but lacks some of the depth of The Misfits. Still, the Metallica stool might be slightly awesomer due to the fact that more colors are on it. I still like The Misfits MUCH better as a band.

The newest McDonald's in the Fredericksburg area is this ECC Enterprises-operated restaurant next to Walmart on Warrenton Road, having opened at the end of 2017 with the "Forever Young" building design that was already obsolete that same year (after all, this was several months after the grey shoebox look at this Williamsburg location). It has the standard Forever Young layout, where the dining room occupies the front end with entryways to the right of the counter and in the front left corner. Décor of choice is this "form" package variation with this speckled black wallpaper, a rectangle motif depicting a hamburger, and seating that's a mix of barstools, upholstered booths, and molded plastic chairs. It's probably one of the more uninspired looking locations I can recall, but it gets the job done.

Saturday morning my wife and I drove up to Somerset Wisconsin to watch the barstool races. This annual event raises money for charities, schools and fire departments in the area

While I waited among the people on barstools for "genius" attention, Nika and I got to talking. "Nika" is short for a longer Hindi name that means dewdrops. She speaks excellent English without much accent, especially since she only moved here in 2005. That was the year she married her husband; it was an arranged marriage. When they got tired of looking at only each other, five years later, they had their son.
Nika is emphatic about wanting her son to have an arranged marriage too. She wants to be the one to pick the bride! I wish I'd asked her why this is so important to her, as it's so different from the culture she lives in now. And what will she do if he insists on marrying his own bride? Or if he has other choices or orientations? Questions I wish I'd asked...
The most important value she wants to transmit to her son is to study. Study, study, study, and achieve a good life. She would like him to be a doctor, as her father is a doctor, but none of his children became doctors. Nika herself got a bachelor degree in India and an associate degree in 3D Modeling in the US.

I made this Rustic Designed Pocket Hole Pallet Bar Stool was made from 100% heat-treated (HT) pallet wood. We featured, instead of hiding, the pocket holes as we thought they added a nice effect.
Make yourself a Pocket Hole Pallet Bar Stool (or more) for indoor or outdoor use. They would be great for impromptu parties!
Overall measurements: This chair measures 19" wide x 18" deep. The seat height is 28", and the height at the top of the seat back is 43.5". We used pocket-hole screws for a sturdy build. We originally decided to face the pocket holes outward so that we could tighten the joints up as needed, but decided that it looked pretty cool. We ended up loving the way the pocket holes added to the design decor, so we left it as-is!
