Rudbeckia (gràcies Angelo)

The Holy Apostles monastery was revived in 1990's as a symbol of the revival of Romania's national identity and faith after centuries of foreign domination superseded by the Communist rule. Its predecessor was founded in XVI century by semi-legendary voivodes of the principality of Maramures Drag and Balc, but was abolished in late XVIII century by the Austrian Habsburgs who relentlessly (but ultimately unsuccessfully) sought to stamp out the Orthodox faith of the population of Maramures.
