The famous traditional Bar do Mineiro in Santa Teresa, Rio de Janeiro is allways worth a visit. Especially because of its delicious feijoada and cachaças ;-)
This custom bar was designed onsite and installed over a Travertine floor installation following electrical additions and painting. The bar and cabinets were then stained with customized color for the perfect finish. This beautiful conversation piece was then topped off with a fantastic piece of honed granite making this a wonderful addition in the home.
At last I get to update my list again. This is the male Bar-winged Skimmer, Libellula axilena. They're tough to photograph in sunlight because of the contrast between the black coloring and the pruinescence. The second shot shows the bar on the wings better, and it also show the pruinescence on the hindwings. The white there catches the light and makes quite a sight when you see several of these guys perched in a field. They look like they have little lights on their sides.

I recently found a nearby bar that's completely free of the nonsense going on in the world.
No masks, no stupid human tricks, no treating the patrons like lepers, no bullshit whatsoever!
I'm there probably 3 nights a weeks since I found it. NO! I won't tell you where it is.
