I keep missing these things at conventions I've gone to, only to later have people tell me about how cool they were. The company is nyx Illuminated Clothing, but since they don't seem to have a website, and neither does their business card, you can just check out what Gizmag has to say. They were my first intro to these jackets last year. I totally love LEDs. These were all I hoped for and more, too. They were blindingly bright, especially the front panel, which is 16x16 killer-bright orange, while the back is 32x16 red. The panels are flexible - they're not like a block glued to the jacket. There's a button inside the lapel that switches between several modes. One scrolls text horizontally, one is a bouncing bars screen saver, one creates a bargraph VU meter that displays a full-width graph of whatever the jacket hears, which was fun to watch scramble and bounce as he spoke, and the one pictured here does starbursts of random, or possibly Game-of-Life interactions (though it was seriously high-speed, meaning it probably was just some form of random or pre-built output). Google two factor authentication running on a Pebble Watch, based on the Arduino version. It implements RFC-6238, "TOTP: Time-Based One-Time Password Algorithm" with a version of the SHA1 hash copied from an arduino library. The bargraph at the bottom shows how much longer the code is valid and updates with a new code every thirty seconds.

These circular LED displays are a lot of fun. Essentially, these are what you would get if you could 'wrap' one of our LED bargraphs around a circle. They consist of 16 green LEDs arranged so that each quarter of the circle has a common ground and four anode pins, resulting in 20 pins total on the device. Because they're simply a bunch of cleverly packaged LEDs, they're just as easy to use as our LED bargraphs. These are great for indicating the position of a rotary encoder!

In this test, we removed all washers from the test. This was the overall best performance of all the tested busbars.
The bar chart is a representation of the voltage measured on the battery posts between the busbar as measured under the 100amp load. The DVM scale was on 200mv

to run it around in the real world and get a little experience at high framerates. Controller and camera in old VHS tape box. Cheat sheet on left cover shows framerates as indicated on LED bargraph on controller. One button control system scrolls through bargraph. Each position is a different framerate except the last one which lets camera pause. If button is not pressed for 30 sec, it starts the indicated program.

Whenever I have a good-sized transcribing job I make sure to have Jolly Ranchers on hand; it's part tradition and part pure Pavlovian reaction at this point. And whenever I buy new Jolly Ranchers I have to sort them by flavor to see how many I got of the ones I love (on the right, starting with apple and fruit punch) as compared to the ones I loathe (on the left, grape and raspberry). (This was not a good batch.) People laugh at me for this. I don't understand why. Maybe they have incurious minds.
