Abstract photography and minimalism are awesome but collectively my pictures sometimes make me feel way too emotionless (walls can do that sometimes). So this is my first attempt at changing things up a bit. Eventually I'll get the hang of this...
I kind of overlooked this until a friend encouraged me to post it. This was taken with ISO 400 color film, but in the end I decided it just looked better b&w. I don't know whether or not that's considered cheating with film here on flickr... (if it is, :| oops). Honestly though, all I did was open it in CS4 and did a one-click b&w conversion using default settings. There was nothing to it.
The original can be seen here.

Before I closed on the sale of my Paris apartment, I managed to stay in it a last few days. This was my 'office': in the kitchen, with the few things the 'tenant' hadn't stolen.
A lovely, Spartan existence...
And I like the light.

the day we went to kiyomizu-dera was probably the hottest day of 2007. as you can see from this picture, not a cloud in the sky, hard light and kyoto hills to navigate. a wonderful day, but it was hot!
