I sprayed them with a sealant yesterday, and now I'm going to start making them :D

Et voilá! After a lot of hard work and lots of fun the "Playscale Miniature Shop" diorama status is now: "Open"! The Workshop and the Shop are ready, and the only thing that needs extra work is the future "furniture showroom".

Emília will divide her time between the workshop designing new stuff while keeping an eye on the shop. We need some help, so we will post a job offer sign on our brand-new Carpintinha FB page! :D

Of course, with the present economic situation, the work behind the counter will be very light but packed with fun , and i can't wait to have another doll ♥

I can't believe how clean it is! It hasn't even yellowed

I am so proud of myself for figuring this one out! I've never made a sweater before and when I read the instructions for this vintage pattern I was completely lost. But I read it over and over and tried to visualize each step and then I just got it! I'm so glad I didn't give up. It's not finished yet. There are buttons coming and a little hanger. See my blog for source of pattern.

Came with 2 nightstands AND a lamp! Wasn't sure if the lamp was original but....

The pink base is a near dead match for the pink bench 'cushion'.

OK, still not a true double, but Barbie could spread out a little bit in this bed.

Flea market find. Sleepy eyes, viscose wig, barbie size...

Tub arrived, and floating counter top sink. I love them! The picture over the tub is a vintage wood frame I distressed. The picture in it is a miniature copy of a painting I painted in 20" x 16" size for my own bathroom!

Still waiting on: towel bar and loo. Sink is a genius paper clip holder about 4".

Me and Emília went for a pleasant walk on the first sunny day after the rain.

We went to an old part of the town and got surprised for the most delicious cake smell, and followed our noses to discover from where that came from. We found a wonderful small square of the city and a beautiful bakery storefront that made us starving for cakes. We also made a new friend, a puppy, walking around the street, just like us :)

Suddenly, Emília noticed that the store right front was for rent! We looked to each other while holding our breath with the excitement, and thinking the same thing. "It's the perfect spot!", said Emília, "everything we thought and dreamed could happen right here, it's wonderful". So I called immediately for the renting contact and we agreed returning the next day!

We came back home, full of enthusiasm, but only after buying a lot of cakes, for celebration :D

Et voilá! After a lot of hard work and lots of fun the "Playscale Miniature Shop" diorama status is now: "Open"! The Workshop and the Shop are ready, and the only thing that needs extra work is the future "furniture showroom".

Emília will divide her time between the workshop designing new stuff while keeping an eye on the shop. We need some help, so we will post a job offer sign on our brand-new Carpintinha FB page! :D

Of course, with the present economic situation, the work behind the counter will be very light but packed with fun , and i can't wait to have another doll ♥

Et voilá! Após muito trabalho e diversão o diorama "Playscale miniature shop" está "aberto"! Falta apenas acabar o quarto que vai ser o "furniture showroom" mas para já a oficina e a loja estão prontas. A Emília vai ficar a criar na oficina e a trabalhar na loja mas brevemente vamos colocar um anuncio de "precisa-se funcionária" na nossa nova página do facebook :D Claro que com a economia como está não haverá muito trabalho no balcão mas haverá certamente muita diversão e eu não vejo a hora de ter outra menina ♥

Emília dressed up nicely for the meeting to sign the rental agreement. She used a new beautiful dress offered by Mamma Rosa and a pair of little shoes that hurt on her feet, but she didn't care! We went the fast as we can to sign the contract.

The place needs some work but we can make it! Enthusiastic we signed the deal and now we have our own space :D
