A Halo banshee. The cockpit does open, but the wings are too weak to support it's own wait, so I built a clear stand for it. I'm actually quite pleased with how this MOC turned out.

Banshees are awesome.

I finally have enough purple pieces to build a Banshee correctly.

I was going to try to build a grunt using the Lime telephones but was underwhelmed with the results

Decommissioning ceremony was sad. The colors of the squadron were retired.

After Adam/misterzumbi posted the pics of the Banshees' death head P40s, I was reminded of the squadron's Facebook page. Lots of great stories and history of a relatively unknown, but very influential squadron. I need to get me a BM P40 and make up a Death Head sticker for the nose. :) They also use P47s and P38 'Twin Dragons.'

Why does the Library own a banshee?

Been reading some M. R. James lately; not a direct depiction of that particular story but a general nod to dark photographs and books discovered hidden in attics and basements, long forgotten letters and bizarre manuscripts not meant to be found...

Called BANSHEEs by the Alliance soldiers for the screaming noise of their magnetic repulsors, this Andromedan speeders are used as fast drop-ships and aerial support on battle fields. Equipped with 3 light laser cannons in the front and a detachable explosive rounds turret on the back, BANSHEEs can transport 5 soldiers and a pilot.

BANSHEEs are T'wrexx Cga'ar and his personal elite guards favourite transportation means when they want to have some "fun" on ground battle fields.

Ironsniper for the heavy sonic cannon.

Today is "Guardian's Day".. on this day all the Guardian angels descend to Earth to save and protect. They all get together and celebrate the lives that they have saved.

Spring walk in Chesham.

A walk down memory with a visit to the town where I grew up. When I was a teenager one of my Mum’s acquaintances told me there was a Banshee living in those woods over there. If you heard it cry someone was going to die. From then on I treated this place with extreme caution......

With the benefit of hindsight I wonder how a wailing Irish spirit found it’s way to rural Buckinghamshire. If there was a doom predicting spirit in those trees, then surely it would have some kind of local name? How gullible we were back in the 60s when anything an adult said was taken as gospel. Most likely there was a vixen living in there and it frightened seven shades out of my Mum’s friend one evening so he made up a legend to go with it.
