As 2022 draws to a close, I am looking forward to turning the page on this year, which has been a difficult one for me, and starting the new chapter that is 2023.
There are a few lines from a Josh Groban song called "Thankful", that I have always loved:
Even with our differences
There is a place we're all connected
Each of us can find each others' light
For me, Flickr has become a beautiful place to find that light and that connection, especially in a world that seems to grow increasingly dark and troubled. Kirkjufell (Icelandic for "Church mountain") is a 463m high mountain on the north coast of Iceland's Snæfellsnes peninsula, near the town of Grundarfjörður. Together with its nearby waterfall, Kirkjufellsfoss, it makes a decent image, don't you agree?

Decommissioning ceremony was sad. The colors of the squadron were retired. This shot was not meant to be. I was shooting way out of the camera settings that I should have been using. The image was almost not able to be saved.
Hey guys, I’ve recently decided to create more Halo stuff, and this is what I have come up with since mid-December last year. As you may know, this is the LEGO Halo Banshee! I clearly understand that it is supposed to be in purple… But, getting those pieces would take a century. The mail dude came by and dropped off the 2nd out of 5 packages I have ordered from bricklink and various places. (God bless!) And it was the package where the curved pieces take place.
Anyway, this baby is my version of the banshee. 100% mine. Just to clear it out. :P
Surprisingly, I had quite a lot of time today so I made the box art of it. :D

Lead jet of a pair, an F-16C belonging to the 555th Fighter Squadron "Triple Nickel" with the 31st Fighter Wing based at Aviano in Italy - low flying in the northern England last week.
During their TDY at RAF Lakenheath I noticed their routing was regular while in the Lakes which allowed me to research and recce an unused location for the good weather on my day off. The effort worked out, with 3 flights all taking the turn low.
With just myself there to enjoy the perfect conditions it was easily one of the most satisfying late afternoons I've spent on a hillside anywhere in the UK.

An appreciation post for Banshee - minifigure from new Lego Halloween minifigures series 14. I think it's my favourite minifigure of this series and maybe one of the best existing Lego minifigures ever!! Lego made three unique parts for her - unique hair piece which is also TRANSPARENT, a ghost tail of a rare color ( not like Ninjago ghosts have) and the face/hands of light blueish green super rare color!!
And of course I couldn't resist of making some small additions - added some fabric and painted the second "happy" face for her ( I like her crying face too, but I just don't like when someone's crying XDD) I know Banshees can't be happy but nevertheless I like how it turned out))
All in all, I think it's really great figure, as well as the series itself))

One never knows what lurks in the next shadowy corner. I was deep in thought while wandering along this mountain trail when, from out of nowhere, I was overtaken by two waling, screaming Banshees (or were they Manshees?). Brandishing their imaginary weapons and wearing protective headgear these warriors, for the moment, ruled the forest lair.
She hides in the shades of green!
It's time to show something from my "picture vault" of unpublished pictures! :) I took this picture more than two years ago, when my dear friend hythe67 sent me a gift. :D The box arrived with the loosefill (I had no idea how these polystyrene thingy things are called until now), and I noticed that it creates a nice green shade, and I thought I could use it for something, so I kept it for a while. Later the color reminded me of the Banshee from Vidiyo series, and I thought that she will look great with such background.
My Irish ancestry referred to them as the bean sídhe., and on my Scottish side it is the bean-shìdh. They are the messengers from the Otherworld........
For my contacts that asked about the banshee- I drew it.
