GIANT RED CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS ON 6TH AVENUE
The display first appeared decades ago and has since become one of the most beloved holiday decorations in New York City. Every year, tourists and locals gather here for photos, creating one of the most Instagrammable Christmas spots in Manhattan. If you want the best shots, visit after dark when the reflections glow against the water.

ππ Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! πβοΈ
This morning's sunrise slowed down the start of my work day and I spent a few minutes enjoying it from the deck.

Two old steel balls I found in my cupboard.
The wear marks are quite attractive once colour is introduced.
Leftover yarn given to me by my neighbor. She is going to teach me how to knit. ππ

Happy New Year!! My choice for Redux is High Key. I am still working on it but I like it so will spend more time trying to improve. One thing you cannot improve though, is Jelly Beans!! Enjoy!! HMM
Town Hall Extension, Manchester
While Eddie and Mark continued shooting trams I went to the arches of the town hall. Every Manchester photographer has snapped these at some point along with the two red phone boxes at the end. The clichΓ© shot is along the corridor with either the lamp bulbs illuminated or shadows crossing the walkway from the outward facing arches. However, this is now a place of refuge for the homeless and several had already bedding down for the night. I didn't think it right to capture someone else's misfortune so I angled my camera up to frame just the ceiling lamps.
Shot taken for Saturday Self Challenge 09/12/2022 ----------
Bokeh Balls .
Yes , I too have had a hard week getting a shot . From the outset I had an idea and got fixated on doing that , only to not work out for the lack of seeing a police car !! I have created a shot but it needed an archive shot , therefore , not useable for the challenge - you can see it in the first comment box .
However , I had to pop out to the post box and made sure there was a camera with me . Took the long way round to return looking all the time for any odd shots with bokeh , at least there were a couple of shots of street scenes with a very low full moon . After a number of shots ( some in which were too far out of focus and everything just blurred into a blob ) I did find the above shot . A shot across the road to a post and rail fence with dangling lights and this side of the road - that tree stump . Some of you may recall my shot of the grand oak tree being cut down even though it had a TPO on it - well this stump is all that is left !! I tried to include the stump to include some sort of focus to the shot . Not the sharpest in the very low light and letting the camera focus using one single focus point in the display over the stump it captured the scene above after a small crop top and bottom .
Think after this week we may all be a bit -----
Dazed & Confused !!
