of Boise State University Reptile and Amphibian Workshop was dedicated to "Monty," who participated in the workshops from 1997 to 2002. He came out of retirement to participate again in summer 2018 which was the last reptile workshop at BSU after 21 years. "Monty" is a Royal Iball) python (Python reigus) who I has been in my care for 31 years since 1987. He was most likely taken from the wild in west Africa 5 t0 10 years before 1987 making him perhaps 40 years old. He's perhaps the most docile and gentle snake that ever could be encountered and it was great to be able honor him. Photo by Frank.
My female ball python holds onto my male Pomeranian. He gives her kisses. No joke. He likes licking her and not my male BP for some reason. Check my recently added images of him giving her smooches! lol While Mhina simply tolerates the pup, much like everything else. She's an easy going ball python that doesn't really concern herself with much other than getting some exercise outside her enclosure and of course rats.

Apophis laying on a pillow seemingly content. A short time ago the NRM had the Great Gathering and had six of Sir Nigel Gresley's A4 locomotives (including Mallard, which still has the steam locomotive speed record) all in one place. Two have now left but four still remain.

Even got Mom to hold it--for a VERY brief moment!
(And she's being a real trooper about all of this!)
He's the newest addition to our house. My son has wanted a pet snake since he was 4 years old. Now that he's 8, he has one.
This tragedy occurred when a live rat was left unsupervised with a ball python overnight. The snake had to be euthanized as the wounds were too severe and extensive. Please do not leave live prey with your snake without supervision.
