The LaHave Bakery can be found along the south shore of Nova Scotia. It was built in 1896 and has stood the test of time, not to mention harsh weather and seas, thanks to the impressively solid construction.

The Bakery in Lacock village, Wiltshire, UK, is a magnet for people on a sunny autumn Sunday afternoon.
LOL love that the city of Broken Arrow has put a group of bicycles outside of the bakery is that a hint?

AND it's a bakery--breads. This view shows the bakery work section, which is why we don't see any big pizza ovens. My son straightened me out on this. This is also adjacent to the sales, shipping , and carry out section, which may explain some of what we see.
I visit Stagno's Bakery, st the corner of Auburn and Lowell in Larimer now and then, to see if it is still there. It has been closed for many years. In 2007, an employee was murdered here in broad daylight and the crime remains unsolved. I think of this every time I'm there so it is a kind of memento mori for me. I love the various weathered and dented blues of the facade and the earlier sign partly revealed by a missing panel.

UPY 708, a GP15-1, pulls an empty flour hopper at the Alpha Bakery on the old Cragin line before spotting a load in Chicago, IL. Alpha Baking Co. is one of three customers left on the Chicago North Avenue based local YNO68 and gets serviced about three times a week. The spur is interesting with a switchback on a pretty steep slope and only a single car spot for unloading.The bakery is the only customer keeping the Cragin alive with the Chicago Tribune and Blommer making up the last customers East of North Ave. This job came close to being given up, but supposedly they have added two other customers to its route that were previously worked from somewhere else. Not sure which customers were added, but good to see these industries will continue to get serviced as a result. Chicago, IL

The newspaper "Nieuws van den Dag" wrote in July 1898: "The new building on the corner of Spuistraat and Raamsteeg has attracted a lot of attention for quite some time. Today all secrecy has been lifted. In this building, Mr. Fred. C. Stähle has now opened his luxury bakery".
Het Nieuws van den Dag schreef in juli 1898: "Het nieuwe gebouw op den hoek van Spuistraat en Raamsteeg heeft reeds geruimen tijd veler aandacht getrokken. Heden is alle geheimzinnigheid opgeheven. In dit perceel heeft de Heer Fred. C. Stähle heden zijn luxe-bakkerij geopend.
Het gebouw is opgetrokken door de aannemers Gebr. Nienaber, naar de plannen van den architect G. van Arkel, die tegelijk voor de geheele stoffeering en meubeleering zorgde. De eigenlijke winkel maakt een zeer aangenamen indruk, door de prachtige tegels van de plateelbakkerij Roozenburg, de sierlijke koperen etalages van Becht & Dyserinck, de fraai bewerkte deuren met geslepen glas en de prachtige toonbank van onyx."
