Nothing better than having this big brown woolly bear following me everywhere I go and keeping an eye on me!

Good on you Bailey!!

Bailey (in dark green hammock) and Jake moved off my bed and into the sun. They love to lounge on the deck in their hammocks. Don't we all! LOL

An overview of UP's Bailey Yard in North Platte, NE. This is the largest rail classification yard in the world!

The yard encompasses 2,850 acres, has two separate hump yards, totaling 114 yard tracks. The yard handles roughly 14,000 rail cars daily. It is also the location of one of the largest engine facilities, and also has a car repair facility that replaces 10,000 pairs of wheels annually.

If you are familiar with North Yard...UP's main yard in Denver (ex-DRGW)...there is a section of Bailey Yard designated as a "spare yard". That spare yard is roughly the same size as North Yard!

In this shot, you can see the east hump yard on the right and the west hump yard further in the distance on the left.

Just on the outskirts of Historic downtown Selma, is Bailey Feed Mill. This is a major distribution facility.

Both CSX and Norfolk Southern railcars are unloaded, and bulk goods are either stored on site for future use, or transloaded to final destinations.

Bailey Feed Mills has been in business since 1952, but the Selma facility has only been in operation for 25 years.

For Bailey - a true friend.

(For the record, I hate drawing portraits, but Bailey rawks <3 )

Bailey passed away in her sleep last night at the ripe old age of two years. This is the very first photo I took of her as I was getting her out of her take home box. She had a long happy life.

Bailey loves nothing better than chilling on the balcony and with our summer in full swing I don't blame him!

Here are two photos of Bailey. Although he's not identical to Harbie he looks very similar, especially if you're out walking and you see him in the distance! I've noticed him a few times before being walked by a young woman but I've never had the chance to go up close - it's impossible if I have Harbie with me. Today, Tim and I were waiting for the bus and Bailey and his woman walked past! I'm not normally one who pounces on strangers but I just had to stop the woman to ask about him and I showed him Harbie's photo. Like Harbie, Bailey was a reactive dog - she'd used the same method of positive reinforcements (treats) and said now Bailey is a much better boy - it took her 4 years though! We've had Harbie just less than 2 so I guess we have a way to go still. Bailey has the same swishy tail as Harbie and I smiled cos the woman said people had stopped her before and told her there's a dog that looked like Bailey (they must have be referring to Harbie!) I asked if I could take some photos and she said yes, it would be fine - here are the shots I got. I would loved to have found out more but then our bus turned up!

My baby girl!

Bailey's spring coat is coming in fast. She gets more gray everyday. Maybe it's because we have had spring like weather for almost a month now.

She sleeps like this sometimes. She's so funny!

Bill Bailey at the Sheffield Arena last month. I wasn't sure about watching comedy in such a large venue, but the man pulled it off. He is a very funny guy.

the gig ended with him being taken up into a Tudor mothership, relating back to comments earlier in his set. His comedy is surreal and sounds completely off the cuff, until it starts twisting back on itself and arrives at a punchline set up about an hour earlier in what sounded like an improvised aside.

Bailey loves playing the bounce game with a rubber ball when we go to Hylands Park.

Donald Bailey was a civil servant in the British War Office who tinkered with model bridges as a hobby. He presented one such model to his chiefs, who saw some merit in the design and had construction started at a slow rate. The bridge was taken into service by the Corps of Royal Engineers and first used in Italy in 1943. A number of bridges were available by 1944 for D-Day, when production was ramped up. The US also licensed the design and started rapid construction for their own use. Bailey was later knighted for his invention, which continues to be widely produced and used today.

Bailey is doing well. Kidney not 100% but he is still happy. He enjoys being loved and devours his food.

Bailey J Gray in her Tron outfit aboard her Tardis. Yes, she is THAT cool.

My grand-dog Bailey and her sister Stella are on Summer vacation at my house.

Big news my oldest son Derrick and his wife Carolina had their first child yesterday a boy. Liam Jeffrey Meulman making him my 4th grand-child and 3rd since December.

Thank you for your visit I'll catch up soon. :-)

Bailey and her sister Stella in dog heaven. It's so much fun to watch them. :-)

Don't let her fool you. She's not just being a compliant model. She only sits still and listens when I'm holding the toy she wants. :P

Fishing trip to Adams Mill.

my Newfoundland after a walk, crashed and in the way, stepping over a newf is an art form, if you stand on a tail, paw, nose or ear, he will not react, I'm sure he thinks "do you know your standing on me, that's cool", my labs however are a different matter, but that's another image...

Bailey Range at sunrise from Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park

I went out to Howth hoping to get a good sunrise. In that sense it was a waste of time but I got some very atmospheric shots of the Bailey lighthouse. Here we have an early morning ferry leaving Dublin Port probably for Holyhead passing the lighthouse!

We are experiencing very hot and humid weather at the moment we haven't had rain for weeks, so after our walk I have a swim to cool off and Bailey is just flat out on the edge of the pool watching. None of my dogs have every attempted to get into the pool for a swim!
