"The shadow, when it is realized, is the source of renewal; the new and productive impulse cannot come from established values of the ego. There are at least five effective pathways for traveling inward to gain insight into the composition of our shadow: (1) soliciting feedback from others as to how they perceive us; (2) uncovering the content of our projections; (3) examining our “slips” of tongue and behavior, and investigating what is really occurring when we are perceived other than we intended to be perceived; (4) considering our humor and our identifications; and (5) studying our dreams, daydreams, and fantasies."

My 11-year-old son was at the wheel of his off-road racing jeep. Brandon is one of the youngest off-road drivers in the Philippines. He started driving at 9. He competed in last year's Philippine Tough Track Challenge, the baddest off-road challenge in the country to date; he was the youngest competitor in the race. He has won many Youngest Driver awards in various 4X4 competitions. The boy is preparing for this year's Tough Track in December.
I wanted to experience being his passenger. Oh, boy, definitely, better than his dad who is one of his instructors! This was shot while at maximum downhill speed. I was seat-belted, but it looks like I was flying out of the jeep.

Two of the biggest baddest boys I've ever seen. I had a couple of days in the Badlands and had seen a number of photos of these guys, a big bad quartet. I was running out of time and telegraphed Mr. TB for one last tip. Yeehaw! what luck. I even had my camera set for full frame instead of cropped.. 😉 It was the Grand Finale for me, just in time.
The Outer Garden is a place where love is hiding. The landing point is filled with happiness where the romantic atmosphere and pale lights surround you, which would make your time with friends and lovers special. Click the mirror at the landing point to teleport to other gardens, where you can enjoy walking and taking pictures. Go on an adventure at this magical fantasy destination.
I'm glad I didn't quit at the last moment - when I went to bed, there was a fog cover that looked pretty grim - sleeping in sounded good. The clerk at the Tomales Bay Resort said "my weather guy says it'll be clear, so it'll be clear. he's always right". He was right about today. Except for a few low clouds (which I actually like), it was pretty cleared up.
This is during the Geminids Meteor shower's "peak". There were a lot of shooting stars that didn't show up well, but that monster on the right was the baddest-@$$ meteor I've ever seen. You can see about 1/5th of it in this pic, and it had broken up in at least three pieces. It left a contrail that hung around for 10 minutes. Really cool - now I'm going to get some sleep.

Andernach is one of the oldest cities in Germany. People would have lived here during the Ice Age and it was also one of the first settlements of the Romans. There have been several battles over the centuries and one of the most famous is the battle of Andernach. The city wall and the beautiful tower in the photo date from the Middle Ages and have regularly been the backdrop for historical battles. in the 90s of the last century, the city wall and the tower were restored. The result is great and the inhabitants of Andernach can be proud of the historic piece of wall of the impressive city. Andernach is also the city where the wealthy king Dagobert lived very pleasantly. There was once a time when Mike Tyson was known as the baddest man on the planet. The boxer who was the greatest heavyweight of all times in his prime I think, but that's my opinion and not everyone will agree. In addition to this planet thing, King Dagobert was arguably the richest man on the planet of his time. According to the stories of the inhabitants of the city at the time, he also seems to have been extremely stingy. It will therefore not surprise you that the world famous cartoon character Scrooge McDuck ( Dagobert Duck) is not called Scrooge ( Dagobert) for nothing, although the creator of the Donald Duck comics has created a Scottish/American background story.

Andernach is een van de oudste steden van Duitsland. Tijdens de ijstijd zouden hier zelfs al mensen hebben gewoond en het was ook een van de eerste nederzettingen van de Romeinen. Er zijn door de eeuwen heen verschillende veldslagen geweest en een van de meest bekende is de slag om Andernach. De stadsmuur en de prachtige toren op de foto dateren uit de middeleeuwen en waren regelmatig het decor van historische veldslagen. in de jaren 90 van de vorige eeuw werden de stadsmuur en de toren gerestaureerd. Het resultaat is indrukwekkend en de inwoners van Andernach kunnen trots zijn op het historische stuk stadsmuur van de indrukwekkende stad. Andernach is trouwens ook de stad waar de rijke koning Dagobert zeer aangenaam woonde. Er was eens een tijd dat Mike Tyson bekend stond als the baddest man on the planet. De bokser die in zijn glorietijd denk ik gezien kan worden als de beste zwaargewicht aller tijden. Dat is overigens mijn mening en niet iedereen zal het daarmee eens zijn. In de tijd van koning Dagobert was hij misschien niet the baddest man on the planet, maar zeker wel de rijkste man op de planeet. Volgens de verhalen van de toenmalige stadsbewoners blijkt hij ook extreem gierig te zijn geweest. Het zal je dan ook niet verbazen dat het wereldberoemde stripfiguur Dagobert Duck niet voor niets Dagobert is genoemd, alhoewel de maker van de Donald Duck-strips een Schots/Amerikaans achtergrondverhaal heeft gecreëerd.

Die Stadtmauer und der schöne Turm auf dem Foto stammen aus dem Mittelalter und waren regelmäßig Schauplatz historischer Schlachten. in den 90er Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts wurden die Stadtmauer und der Turm restauriert. Das Ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen und die Andernacher können stolz auf das historische Mauerstück der beeindruckenden Stadt sein. Andernach ist auch die Stadt, in der der wohlhabende König Dagobert sehr angenehm lebte. Es gab einmal eine Zeit, in der Mike Tyson als der böseste Mann der Welt bekannt war. Der Boxer, der in seiner Blütezeit das größte Schwergewicht aller Zeiten war, denke ich, aber das ist meine Meinung und nicht jeder wird zustimmen. Zusätzlich zu dieser Planetensache war König Dagobert wohl der reichste Mann auf dem Planeten seiner Zeit. Nach Erzählungen der damaligen Bewohner der Stadt soll er auch äußerst geizig gewesen sein. Es wird Sie daher nicht überraschen, dass die weltberühmte Zeichentrickfigur Scrooge McDuck (Dagobert Duck) nicht umsonst Scrooge (Dagobert) heißt, obwohl der Schöpfer der Donald-Duck-Comics eine schottisch-amerikanische Hintergrundgeschichte geschaffen hat.
