Onderweg naar huis kon met de vriendin nog een compromis gesloten worden. Zij wilde graag shoppen in de Outlet in Salzburg, ik wilde graag de IC naar Berechtesgaden meepakken. We besloten het beide te doen, alvorens een overnachtingsplek te zoeken.
Na het shoppen werd koers gezet naar Winkl, gelegen tussen Bad Reichenhall en Bischofswiesen. Met dank aan andere fotografen werd hier een fraaie stek gevonden waar IC 2083 (Hamburg Altona - Berchtesgaden) goed te fotograferen zou zijn. Na een goede 20 minuten wachten passeerden de 111 212 en 111 074 met de trein de inmiddels behoorlijk toegestroomde fotografen.
He has been such a bad dog today! It's been raining, but he has found some mouldy old apple windfalls, and is determined that we will be out there throwing them for him to fetch. He wouldn't come inside, he wouldn't let me dry his feet, he didn't want to do anything that was asked of him - he has learned the power of "No", and, it seems, there is nothing we can do right now. He was so muddy as well...all the floors have needed a good clean as well as the dog himself! It may be, of course that he can't see a lot - he is booked in for a haircut next week....

Schloss Bad Muskau
Heute ist im Mittelflügel des Neuen Schlosses die Besucherinformation der Fürst-Pückler-Stiftung untergebracht. Der Südflügel beherbergt die ständige Ausstellung zum Leben und Wirken des Parkschöpfers und der Nordflügel die Grüne Schule, eine Aus- und Weiterbildungsstätte für Parkpflegernachwuchs. Der Südwestturm ist als Aussichtsturm besteigbar und bietet aus 35 m Höhe einen guten Blick auf die Parkanlage.
Bad Muskau Castle
Today the Fürst Pückler Foundation's visitor information center is housed in the middle wing of the New Palace. The south wing houses the permanent exhibition on the life and work of the park creator and the north wing houses the Green School, a training and further education center for young park maintainers. The southwest tower can be climbed as a viewing tower and offers a good view of the park from a height of 35 m.

Schloss Bad Muskau
Der heutige Zustand zeigt die Gebäude, den Vorstellungen des Fürsten Pückler entsprechend, durch einen Pleasureground in die Parkgestaltung einbezogen. Seine landschaftsgärtnerischen Überlegungen gingen davon aus, dass das Neue Schloss das Zentrum aller Schlossbauwerke und gleichzeitig gemeinsam mit der Stadt den Mittelpunkt des Landschaftsparks bilden sollte.

Fürst Pückler Park
Der Fürst-Pückler-Park Bad Muskau (polnisch Park Mużakowski) ist ein Landschaftspark in der Oberlausitz. Mit einer Gesamtfläche von 830 Hektar ist er der größte Landschaftspark Zentraleuropas im englischen Stil. Der nach seinem Schöpfer Hermann Fürst von Pückler-Muskau benannte Park liegt zu etwa einem Drittel in der sächsischen Stadt Bad Muskau, der größere Teil des Parks liegt östlich der Lausitzer Neiße und nördlich der Stadt Łęknica in Polen. Beide Teile sind durch mehrere Neißebrücken miteinander verbunden.

The Fürst Pückler Park Bad Muskau (Polish: Park Mużakowski) is a landscape park in Upper Lusatia. With a total area of 830 hectares, it is the largest English-style landscape park in Central Europe. About a third of the park, named after its creator Hermann Fürst von Pückler-Muskau, is located in the Saxon city of Bad Muskau; the larger part of the park is located east of the Lusatian Neisse and north of the city of Łęknica in Poland. Both parts are connected to each other by several Neisse bridges.
