One thing you can say about Bad Münstereifel is that they have taken advantage of the river throughout the village with their constructions, when I look at the river and being a Canadian I would call this a brook or at best a stream but locals call it a river and who I am to argue.

The whole length of the river through the town is littered with these cute little bridges and the town has put them and the surroundings to good use with little nooks and crannies that are taken advantage of with outdoor displays and small patios to enjoy the sun and take in the beautiful setting.

Though the city has turned to commercialism to be prosperous with the first old town outdoor outlet mall in Germany I really can’t think of any mall with the charm of the village and wish all my shopping could be done is such a location.

Commercialism does run through the blood of the inhabitants they have been plying the trades of wool production, tanneries, and breweries since the 13th century and recently (1618) they added linen production to their wares.

I took this with my D750 and Tamron SP 24-70mm 2.8 G2 Lens at 24mm 1/60, f/11 ISO 100 processed in LR, Topaz Denoise, PS (Lumenzia curves masks and DXO Nik Color Efex)
