#day7 #366-2020 #backtowork I don't usually say much about my work as a significant part of it involves adults with #autism.

Went back to work today and it was a great day (minus that moment when an upset mom called me a b-tch). Even went for a walk with a friend after work.

I am so happy about feeling like things are getting back to normal.

The tea olive in the picture is one of my favorite plants. It has tiny flowers with the most awesome scent when in bloom. When I first started dating my husband, he recognized the plant in a pot on my front porch. A guy who is familiar with tea olives is a keeper in my book.

Came back from my short trip on Saturday, and it's back to work again come Monday.

>____<;

(I want another holiday already!)

Ah well, Monday morning - nowt to do but to get on with it with good cheer!

Lillian here has been on furlough for the past couple of months but it's time we got her back to work as Head of Marketing and Customer Services for id-iom. She has spent most of her time in an approximation of this position in one of her three sleeping areas so it's time for her to dust off the laptop, shoulder pads and power suit and get back to work. That tuna isn't going to earn itself...

Cheers

Go on then, applaud me. After about 110 days of treatment and recovery I was back in work today after my stroke!

Fair enough, I was only there for two hours, and my phased return proper begins next week with three half days, but I was there nevertheless.

This collection of pencils sits on top of Dave's desk. He's a wee bit obsessive about it, as he likes to pick up random pencils that he sees lying around and then sharpens them to a surgical point.

I think it's therapy to stop him going mad. :)

I should add that I might revisit this pot. It deserves a lot better than a crapola mobile phone shot.

When I can't think of anything, I think 'by the window'.

There isn't a part of this photo which is properly in focus I don't think. Is that a double negative?

I was listening to Kelly Clarkson. Only joking.

Jay Brandsma, now 36-years old, learned the hard way how to live with the "new Jay" after a tragic car accident 12 years ago left with him permanent brain damage.

A candid shot taken by Jay's friend and roommate who needed pictures for his photography class (March 2015).

For FGR – Now Get Back To Work.

My first FGR which wasn't for my 366 of 2008. Also my first self portrait since the end of my project.

It's a bit rough to start FGR for the year (at least start it for me) with back to work. Fortunately, I was working from home today, so I didn't have to wait for the bus in -8°C.

Anyway, this is pretty much what I do at work when not doing work: Thinking. I'm in an incredibly thoughtful phase at the moment, so I'll just spend our sitting staring at nothing just thinking. I don't know if I have a mild depression, or if it's just the post-366 blues.

(btw, it's totally weird not writing my 366 tags all the time, especially on a self portrait.)

It was the dreaded #backtowork day today and in the end it wasn't so painful afterall. In fact, it was quite nice to get back to some routines, enjoying my early morning blogging, lunchtime stroll (with my hand-knitted wrist-warmers from @ruthryan030) and ticking offer 'to do' lists. How was your day? Hope the #backtowork blues weren't too bad. 👍👊👈 #morningcuppa #coffee #handknitted #handknit #monday #blogging #liveslow #livesimple #lovethelittlethings

This weeks theme for Friday's Lyrical Imagery is "Big Yellow Taxi" by Joni Mitchell. Well, I thought this image of my husband headed back to work, through the terminal's parking lot, might fit the lyrics. However, it was a truck, not a taxi that took him away! (My husband drives a truck, and if you want to see him getting back to work, please check out the next picture in my stream)

Late last night

I heard my screen door slam

And a big yellow taxi

Took away my old man

Don't it always seem to go

That you don't know what you've got

Till it's gone

They paved paradise

And put up a parking lot

My husband is a huge Joni Mitchell fan, and I thought I would post his favorite song by her, (instead of Taxi) it's Coyote: Joni Mitchell with The Band, from The Last Waltz...

Hope you enjoy it! : )

Before..... and After.

(Still not finished in here, though.)

This is just one example of why I haven't been around lately.

I've been on a cleaning and purging and organizing spree.

I can't believe I'm posting these shots - but I wanted to show you just one example of my "skeletons in the closet".

I have more closets, drawers, shelves, cabinets, etc., that desperately need my attention. So, until I can get some order around here, I will have to be away from Flickr for a while longer.

Thanks, you guys, for the notes and emails, wondering where I was, and asking if I'm OK - I'm so touched by your concern!

I miss you all, but I'll be back... someday soon.

I found this Igloo Cooler at Target. It is the coolest thing I have bought recently and I totally love it. I can't wait to use it. Work/Daycare is starting to really feel like back to school and I LOVE new supplies! LOL.

This fits Six 4-oz Avent Bottles or Four 8-oz Avent Bottles. The lid has a cool compartment that works well for ice packs, in those hot summer months, and fits my Avent Manual Pump, so it will work great for when I am out and about on my own and need to pump. I am SO thrilled with this, I thought I might share in case someone else was looking for a solution like this. It was $10.49

Awesome!!!
