Behind the art of the Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park is more...art.
Art is a loaded word.
When we think about public art, such as murals, sculptures, buildings, etc, we think of the artists or the architects that create the piece.
But what about the people that build the piece. Are they artists too? I argue that yes, they are. There is an art to building that we are so often not privy to.
So this piece is dedicated to the working people that allow us to live in wonder every time we are lucky enough to experience whatever the artist had in mind.
Thank you.
Took in side seams and adjusted one side seam incorrectly. Need to rip out both sides and middle boning and make center back shorter before retrying sides.

This image shows the Ngong Hills from their backside... They are famous as seen from Nairobi but this view is not shown very often. It is amazing how vegetation changes when you go down into the Great Rift Valley
I didn't have very good light now that I've downloaded...hate when they look good on the camera screen, then poo-ie on the computer ;-) First day of school with kiddos tomorrow...time flies!
Five stair. It was so clean and this was the second one he did. Ryan threw down. My favorite from this set. I'm trying to stop shooting at night because it's hard to focus.
Some of you have asked how I put the fabric around the paper at these small 1/4" hexies. I cut them the same shape as the paper and sew them the same way as I do with bigger ones. Hopefully you can see how it's done here.
