Edward Hicks (1780 – 1849) was an American folk painter and distinguished minister of the Society of Friends. He became a Quaker icon because of his paintings.
Playing a gig on the 20th March in the Boom Boom Room, Parnell St, Dublin.
I'll be getting through most of the tracks from the recent Thirteen
album (entitled 'Come Back'), which can be downloaded here if you
haven't heard it already: www.cormacphelan.com
With any luck, I'll be joined on the night by Niamh Farrell and Dara Munnis, both of whom contributed to the album. As part of a double-bill with Thirteen, the excellent
Damien Walsh will also be playing.
Doors @ 8.30pm, 7/6 euro in.
(I miss you miss you)
Hello there the angel from my nightmare
The shadow in backround of the morgue
The unsespecting victim of darkness in the valley
We can live like Jack and Sally if we want
Where you can always find me
And we'll have Halloween on Christmas
And in the night we'll wish this never ends
We'll wish this never end
Where are you and I'm so sorry
I cannot sleep I cannot dream tonight
I need somebody and always
This sick strange darkness comes creeping on so haunting everytime
And as I stared I counted the webs from all the spiders
catching things and eating their insides
Like indecision to call you
And hear your voice of treason
Will you come home and stop this pain tonight
stop this pain tonight
Don't waste your time on me your already the voice inside my head
I miss you miss you.
I Miss You- Blink 182

yeah yeah, this is the same thing as this one , but I've hated that one ever since I did it, and kinda liked this one better... so...there's that...
He's been in my dreams a lot lately...I'll be with him, but no one will believe me...before I can take a picture to show them, he's gone. Normally my dreams aren't so focused...but anyway, I guess that's what drove me to redo this. Whether it's any better or not, I feel better about it. :)
Also I don't usually like Blink much, but this one I rather do. Fits well.

On Saturday 17th Sept employees from Dublin Airport Authority completed a 50k charity cycle to raise awareness for the DAA Charity of the Year, 3Ts – Turn The Tide of Suicide.
The 52 strong-group consisted of cyclists of varying experience – from pure beginners to seasoned cyclists. The atmosphere was electric as the group set out on the first leg of their challenge from ALSAA Sports Complex at Dublin Airport. The nip in the air made the group all the more keen to get on the road.
The teamwork displayed on the day was a credit to all involved, as the more experienced cyclists kept pace with the less experienced – encouraging them along. Craig Sweetman, who offered support and advice to cyclists in the lead up to the event, cycled in excess of 70k on the day as he moved swiftly up and down the line encouraging people along the way, helped by Kinsealy man John Finlay, both of the Airport Fire Service.
With a short stop at The Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan, the group began the second stage for a triumphant return to Dublin Airport.
Of course behind every event is a team of organisers but also the much needed sponsors - on this occasion Eurocycles went above and beyond the call of duty and helped make the 52 cyclists and 3Ts a very visible presence on the roads of north county Dublin with specially commissioned jerseys emblazoned with 3Ts.
While the event was hosted to coincide with European Mobility Week – encouraging alternative modes of transport – the DAA staff achieved their main challenge, which was to raise awareness for 3Ts and especially the 1Life 24hr Suicide Helpline.
For more information on 3Ts and 1Life, you can go to the 3Ts website.
Saluting Battery from Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta with Fort St Angelo in the backround.
Fort St. Angelo is the jewel in the crown of The Maltese Islands’ military heritage. According to legend, the fort stands on the site of a fortified Roman settlement.
When the Knights arrived on the Island in 1530, the Fort became the seat of the Grand Master of the Order. It was to play a heroic role in the Great Siege of 1565, when, against all odds, it managed to repel a formidable Saracen armada. The epic resistance of the Knights during the three-month siege gave the Fort its legendary status.
In the 19th century, the British took over the Fort and in 1912 it was officially listed as a ship, first as HMS Egmont and then in1933 it was renamed HMS St. Angelo. More recently, the Government granted the Order of the Knights of St. John the upper part of the fort, comprising the magisterial palace and St. Anne's Chapel.
My beautiful friend Dominik who was so kind to play the light model for a following shooting. This is his "out-of-bed-look",which is probably my favourite..
The setup is rather impro;it included a white sheet on the wall, two lights (from a construction site) and a reflector. One light came from the right side, the other was directed to the backround, reflector to the left.
A backround I made. I want to give something back to this supergroup!Feel free to use in your art but do not reproduce or sell. I would love it if you showed me your artwork made with this picture! Happy creating!
