This I like for the different Levels of Fore- and Backrounds. The red Giant enthroned on Stones and Bricks from a passing Building, behind him the messy Streetdynamik, the Rushhour Traffik, the People, Touristbus and in the Backround the Bureau of the Konstruktionsite around the A1exanderp1ace with the Mall they rebuild... I kan´t tell you how good it feels to see all this growing and think of the Metropols of the World, how will they look like in 10 or 20 Years? It´s all changing fast if we forget about some Dekades. What is a Dekade for a ~900Year old City?
Anyway we still have to slow down our Tempo as Humans - why did we all try to eat our Life at one Day, why we don´t take all the Time it needs to suffer and enjoy the Things around, which Life offers us - and with that we would live!
Enjoy your Home and have an interesting Day Everybody. ;O)

The Star Worshipping Gate with the Soul Tower in the backround. It leads into one of the Ming Tombs. All the tombs were built in accordance to the principles of Feng-Shui. These tombs housed corpses of the Ming Emperors. There are 13 tombs of the Ming Emperors which lie at the foot of the Tianshou Mountains.
The Soul Tower is a "symbolic structure of the mausoleum", according to the sign. In other words, it sits right above the tomb itself and tells you which person the tomb belongs to. This one was originally wooden, constructed during the Ming Dynasty, in 1424. It was reconstructed during the Qing Dynasty (1785-87) and made with stone, as you see it here.
This is Chang Ling, which holds the tomb of the Yongle Emperor (1402-1424). He was responsible for moving the capital of China from Nanjing to Beijing. He was also known to be tolerant of all three of China's major religions: Confucianism, Daoism and Buddhism.
It is said that 16 concubines were buried alive with Emperor Yongle's corpse, to keep him company in the next world.
Calochorus argillosus with serpentine rock backround. Santa Lucia Mountains, San Luis Obispo County, CA.
Gesine again;I like this shot a lot for it has a bit of an after-war-feeling to it.This is also why I chose to turn it to mono and added a slight brown-yellowish tone.Same light settings as before:white backround, one light source directed to it and another one coming at an slight angle from the right, with a reflector to the left.
You can see the annual bands of the glacier in the backround: The brown bands are dust from rockfalll debris in the summer and the white bands are from powder falls in winter. In this photo you get no idea of scale. The glacier is enormous, perhaps 4-5 stories high. The snow that forms the glacier avalanches down frequently from the steep face behind the glacier. When I took this shot it was so cold that my sweat was freezing on the end of my (very short) hair
In summer the meadows in the foreground are famous for the variety of alpine flowers and many people come to see the Angel Glacier.
This place is awesome. Go there!

A pair of unidentified Railfreight Large Logo Class 31's pass through Streethouse and begin to accelerate with the Monk Bretton-Middleton Towers sand train, this shot was taken from the signal box which at the time was used solely for the crossing signals,of course there was more traffic in those days as Sharlston Colliery was just around the corner in the backround and the train is seen here passing through the former station. The apparent mountain in the background is actually waste coal and land which used to piled up to give the impression of a mountain range. The pit closed in the early 90's but reopened as an open cast in the 21st century for a short spell. It is now completely gone and is a field!
These pictures where taken in city of Kuopio in Finland. Kuopio is the most famous skating destination in Finland and ice biking is new form of competition during Finland Ice Marathon

Not so much "that" light setup that I like the most, but still I like this pic.
Strobist: one reflective umbrella high right, ezybox low left. Reflective umbrella for (very)small fill from left behind.
I used "Falcon eyes" ~1.5m wide white backround for this shot. It helped a lot to clear the backround, but by the same time it was too narrow to prevent exessive photosopping... Marque tool, ctrl+c, ctrl+v and ctrl+t were the dearest friends of this photographer :)
Recycled things and notes:
-The pink backround is actually 5 to 6 layers of recycled tissue paper, then covered in Diamond Glaze for more shine and strength.
-The flower was simply sketched out on newspaper in 6 different sizes and then cut out. I inked the edges, covered every other layer in the Houndstooth stamp, and stiched the six layers together with a button and thread.
-The tin is from mints from Disney World and is the perfect fit for a gift card. Needless to say, this will go to use shortly, I'm sure.
Supplies: Stamps: Hero Arts, Paper- The Paper Studio (white), Patterned Paper- Daiso Japan (from this etsy seller: JapanKawaiiYa), Ink- Stazon by Tsukineko and Colorbox Chalk, Embroidery Thread- DMC, Colored Pencils- Prisma, Glitter- Art Institute Glitter, Diamond Glaze- Judikins.
