Backpacking 7/16-7/19 in the Olympics. Started at the Graves Creek trailhead on the Quinalt River, and got up to Enchanted Valley.

The aluminum pipe which you can see over the top in this picture was going to be a sort of grate but the aluminum actually ended up melting! 660 degrees celsius, wow!

b) So the last day of our hike was Kerry's birthday. Since we were hiking out that day and not going to be cooking, we made a dessert the night before to celebrate her birthday. It mostly worked... But it tasted really good so who cares if it was malformed?
