Summer is here in Arizona's Sonoran Desert. Temperatures hover around 106° fahrenheit (41° celsius) and I am always trying to find ways to hide from the sun. I spend a lot of time under trees full of buzzing cicadas. Which brings me to this bag...
The outer fabric is the negative image of the sun filtered through the leaves. The leaves are gold, silvery light green (like the underbelly of an olive leaf), fleshy pink, and slate blue. The background is brown Mole Dulce. The fabric is Anna Maria Horner's Branching Out from her Drawing Room collection.
The inner fabric is sunshine filtering past branches, blossoms, and sparrows (the cicadas are hiding). This fabric is from Joel Dewberry's Aviary collection.
It is L 13" X H 15".
