The night gas travels the 10th Sub on this fine evening in Montana. Powered by a trio of SD35s the back lighting at Perma really highlights the brawn of the EMDs. As they make their way along the Flathead as far as Dixon before turning southeast for Ravalli and eventual the Summit at Evaro before dropping down to Missoula where the crew will call it a day.
I underexposed by using a small aperture to silhouette and increase the starburst effect of the sun backlighting the globe. I added saturation to the sky in Aperture - Apple's blessed creation.
The grape vines at Feathertop winery were just coming into their autumnal colours in the bright sunshine. But they looked lovely backlit against the sun and with a bit of morning dew to provide the bokeh sparkle.

Extreme backlight pushed the camera to it's limits, but at the same time revealed these fascinating structures of some maple seed.
Extremes Gegenlicht brachte die Kamera an ihre Grenzen, enthüllte aber gleichzeitig diese faszinierenden Strukturen eines Ahornsamens.
In a forest glade, the last rays of sunshine could be seen. A shine in the grass could be seen in back light.
