Principles of Design: Contrast
As a pianist, I sit at the keys of the instrument and look over the music stand. I took this photo from the other end of the piano for a different perspective and to highlight the mechanics of the instrument. The square wood tiles on the wall complement the wood tones of the inside of the piano while the black body of the instrument provides value and contrast. I feel the eye is drawn around the photo by the angle of the lid and the music stand. If I knew how to use Photoshop, I would delete the reflection of the strings and wall in the lid of the piano for greater contrast. However, I think an option for another photo would be to reflect the strings on the lid. I think special lighting might be required for that.
"My parents divorce, finding the Lord and becoming a mother have all shaped me and changed my life."
"I would say that one of my biggest regrets are the lost friendships and relationships over the years."
"How I deal with stress, and my marriage goals is something I would change now."
"Missionary work and the foreign travel is something I miss doing. I would love to have done or do it again."
" One of the happiest moments in my life is seeing all my children being born. It's scary, but the end is so rewarding."

There were butterflies everywhere; if I simply took my camera and stood by some flowers, I'd get butterfly shots like this.
