Poster for 'Background Noise: Improvisations and Inventions from the Underground', Kettle's Yard New Music Mornings series, 7th March 2010.
Featuring improv, DIY and noise music and pieces on the theme of background noise, made by artists based in Cambridge and Norwich: Cambridge Free Improvisation Society, C Joynes, Pete UM and Babygrand.
I took 147 photos at the Canberra Botanical Gardens, with a borrowed SLR-like camera. I was dutifully led and followed around by my friend who pointed out photo-worthy shots. This shot is the only one worth publishing here. Sigh. I am not a natural photographer.
We were walking in the Cevennes, when I saw this magnificent plant, and took a photo with the breathtaking sight.

One of my first Backgrounds... This project was made with photo manipulation and it was completely build with photoshop..
Tools used:
To view the largest (Original) size of the image, not the one automatically displayed in the 'lightbox' feature with the black background; click on the three dots (...) near the bottom right-hand corner and choose 'view all sizes' then Original size.
At this point we started working on the background also. This is one attempt where background was used with the character. But this character was also so far off from what we wanted we had to scrap this design also.
