Lord Rama after his victorious battle left for ayodhya in one of king Ravan's vimana's.

The sacred Neem tree representing Goddess Lakshmi in Naimisharanya

I want to make it clear that the Ram Mandir dispute is not communal – it is is political. After undergoing the tragedy of Partition, the poison of communalism had mixed with the climate of the country. The top leaders of the Congress like Pandit Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi were certainly talking about a secular nation. The nation was even declared secular, but on the Ayodhya issue, Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant along with former Congress leaders and workers were not ready at all to believe in secular values. Only a few people now know the real reasons behind why that dispute began on 22-23 December, 1949. What were the circumstances that abetted it? Who were those people who became its heroes? What role did officials and representatives play in it? - See more at: www.eng.chauthiduniya.com/happenings-in-ayodhya-the-insid...

. Condemn Attack at Ayod~ya I .

Stop the Sangh from Reaping a Communai.Harves~ !! .

AISA strongly condemns the terrorist attack at Ayodhya -a move calculated to provide .

grist to the mill of communal forces in the country. While this attack was foiled by security .

.

forces, the entire nation must stand alert to foil the attempts by the communal forces to whip .

up frenzy over the incident. .

.

0 .

In recent times, the internal squabbles of the Sangh Parivar and.the BJP were providing .

more entertainment than the Saas-Bahu serials. The attack at Ayodhya seems calculated .

and well-timed to provide relief for the Sangh, desperate to recover from its ideological .

disintegration and crisis. Advani has put aside his 'secular' mask, and, just as Modi had .

promised a 'Newtonian reaction'· after Godhra, Advani has now declared that the 'reaction .

must match the action'. In JNU, too, we have seen the ABVP's leaflet spewing communal .

venom equating minorities with anti-national activities. .

.

May we remind the ABVP and the Sangh Parivar --Yesterday, terrorists breache·d the security cordon at Ayodhya and tried to assault the .

makeshift temple there. In 1992, it was the terrorist brigades of the Sangh Parivar, led by .

Advani and Joshi, who, helped by the BJP CM of UP; stormed the security cordon and .

.

destroyed the Sabri Masjid. That terrorist action was followed by massive bloodshed by the .

Sangh all over India. This latest terrorist action too can benefit no-one but the Sangh Parivar. .

Terrorists seem to be great friends of the BJP; how come, every time the BJP is in a .

crisis, terrorists dish up a timely attack?! Recall -the Parliament attack happened just in .

time to help the Vajpayee Govt. bulldoze POTA through. Even today, there has been no .

satisfactory explanation for how those terrorists managed to enter the premises of Indian .

Parliament. Modi was battling factionalism within the BJP: the Akshardham attack happened .

just in time to manage the crisis before Assembly elections. Today, there are several questions .

being raised about the Sangh's role in the Godhra carnage too-and these questions are .

.

being raised, not by secularists alone, but by the _families of kar s~vaks who died at I Godhra. .

I .

.

-Modi and Advani are screaming for bringing back POTA-may we ask them how come .

POTA failed to prevent the Akshardham attack? The fact is that communal fascist forces .

like the Sangh have a vested interest in keeping terrorism alive: terrorism can be weeded .

out only if the terrorists of the Sanghi mobs too are weeded ou~. .

.

The ABVP leaflet sheds crocodile tears for the ~woes of lmrana'. May we ask them why .

they are silent about innumerable instances of caste panchayats that declare deaths sentences .

for Hindu couples who marry outside caste and community, that parade Dalit women naked, .

and that sentence women to gangrape as punishment? Are these in any way less medieval .

and anti-woman than the fatwa against lmrana? The lmrana episode is not a commentary on .

any particular community -it is part of the systematic denial of justice to women in our .

society. be it by caste and community panchayats, or be it by the nation's judiciary! .

.

The Sangh Parivar, the BJP and the ABVP should be warned -the nation has condemned .

the attack at Ayodhya, and the same nation will not tolerate any attempt to recreate the .

Gujarat genocide. AISA condemns the violence, vandalism and destruction of public property .

that BJP and VHP activists indulge in today in the name of enforcing their 'protest bandh'. .

Friends, .

The heinous crime Of burning alive of 57 Ramsevaks in Godhra. who were returning from Ayodhya by Sabannati Express, was followed by even more barbaric epidode of violence which gripped Gujarat for a number of days which finally saw the Joss of hundreds of innocent lives. While the Godhra incident was the result of a premeditated act which was planned to precision by terrorists and criminal elements having connections to such agencies who intend to distabilise the nation, the mindless violence which was perpetrated by the mob frenzy in Gujarat points to further degeneration of our national character. The spate of violence which started after the Godhra-Massacre does not befit any society which claims to be civilised. .

It's unfortunate in the above context, that the 'secularists' led by the Congress whose one councillor and various other office bearers were found indulged in the Godhra Carnage, sought to reap political mileage by resorting to malicious propagandas. The Godhra incident not even merited for lip-service and was even justified to the extent that since the Ramsevaks were returning from Ayodhya -I.e. after committing an act of communalism, they were themselves responsible for their being charred to death. The leftist propagandists on the campus and outside stooped so low so as to shamelessly comment without pointing out any source that Sangh Parivar 'might have' undertaken the Godhra carnage to malign the minorities. Afraid of losing the minority vote-bank, most of them decided to keep their mouth shut lest they be seen as sympathising with the Ayodhya cause. An atmosphere of odium and hostility was created in a section of the society against the majority community and the Remsevaks. .

The situation was not different on the campus. The communists never raised their voice when Sikhs were butchered in Chhattis·Singh Pura, Amamath Yatris were massacred or even against the systematic ethnic cleansing of minorities in Kashmir. They remained a mute spectator after the Godhra carnage but suddenly came out with one-hour notice for procession to 'uphold' communal harmony on the campus in the evening in response to ABVP's protest march in the night! The left which had come out with a protest march last year only when a minor scuffle in a meat-shop in K.C. took place and went to the extent to forcibly close down various shops on the campus, couldn't muster moral courage to give a call for protest March against Godhra carnage. Moreover, they went out on a malicious propaganda against ABVP which took out a massive protest march against the Godhra carnage, to subserve their political ends. The slogans which were raised against the fundamentalist and terrorist elements who were indulged in Godhra carnage were sought to be portrayed as an act against the minority community. On the feedback of the present JNUSU leadership, the media came out with the story titled, "Uneasy calm prevails in JNU". In pursuance of their vote-bank politics, the left had no qualms even in tarnishing the image of JNU. It was completely in line with the tactics of the Congress-Communist combine to create fear-psychosis among the minorities and translate them into votes. .

It's under such circumstances that it has become pertinent to discuss this kind of politics of "se<;;ularism" which is intended to thrive upon divisive designs It appears that we are nearing a situation where upholding the electoral interests are becoming paramount, while the national interests are to be sacrificed at the altar of power-politics. While it is time to bring all the communities together so as to secure the re-union of hearts which is riven with violence and filled with hatred, it is unfortunate that the 'secularists' are blindly pursuing their electoral agenda even at the cost of .

national unity and integrity. Let's fight this menace. .
