It was awesome to be there in person! Since I love tennis as much as I love photography, it was great to see my first pro match.
And I know I haven't been around that much this summer, between traveling and weddings and all manner of summer obligations, but I sure am missing you all :)

Orphan Rock is a tall sandstone monolith just out from Scenic World at Katoomba. It's sometimes referred to as the Widow of the nearby Three Sisters and in early days is said to have out-shone them as a tourist attraction.
Orphan Rock has been described as one of the mountain's shortest-lived tourist ventures. Tracks, hewn steps and timber ladders were constructed to provide access to the very top, but back in the 1950s, after just 20 years, it was summarily closed due to fears that the whole edifice might collapse.
Today, it's skirted with a heavy tree canopy and a rusted security gate remains at the entrance. With the aid of a long lens, the old safety fencing can still be seen on the very top of Orphan Rock.

Whatever they do in Belgium to produce giant zander (walleye) we need to find out about. Now! Gunther Van Ginneken shows off another monster zander he seems so adept at catching with uncanny frequency. Well done, G-man!

I am little. i stand in awe of such power, majesty and beauty, but I should be bowing in humility. it is more than I can comprehend.
