" . . . and if a Poetry tree grows,

note every leaf that falls like words,

meaning in each shape, color

change bespoken with each bare branch

broken thoughts scattered on the ground

for us to read, to puzzle out . . . "

Those who came before me

Lived through their vocations

From the past until completion

They will turn away no more

Impromptu Flickr meet up at Squids Ink.

With night coming early,

And dawn coming late,

And ice in the bucket

And frost by the gate.

The fires burn

And the kettles sing,

And earth sinks to rest

Until next spring."

Trout Lake in Northern Vilas County Wisconsin is a large 4000 plus acre lake and is the last lake to freeze over and the last open water I will see till May. Two days later this shot is only a beautiful memory because now the lake is frozen over.

Dont take your love

Away from me

Dont you leave my heart

In misery

If you go

Then Ill be blue

Cause breakin up is hard to do

I hope you all don't mind me indulging one last Hood shot for this series. The last of the light on the mountain slipped away soon after this and it was time to head home.

We might have been meant for each other

To be or not to be, let our hearts discover

I have a feelin', it's a feelin' I'm concealin', I don't know why

It's just a mental, incidental, sentimental, alibi

But I adore you, so strong for you

Why go on stallin', I'm fallin', love is callin', why be shy?

Explore May 22nd #281 - She was born in Ireland and was originally thought to be a labrador/collie cross - but our dog trainer thinks she is a 'Heinz 57 Varieties' with some Lurcher and Staffie thrown in! Whatever she is, she is adorable!

A colourful visitor to the Canal.

Crimson Sunbirds are tiny, only 11cm long. They have medium-length thin down-curved bills and brush-tipped tubular tongues, both adaptations to their nectar feeding.
