As I looked out of my car window this afternoon...while waiting for my wife to finish work... there it was!
One single yellow flower growing wildly amongst the grass... This flower is about 2.5cm small...
Since I didn't have my camera with me... I had to pick it... and take it home so I could take photos of it...
It would've died in a matter of days... At least this way... I was able to preserve its beauty forever!
I hope you like it!
I also have a textured version of this shot but I liked it without texture too so I've posted both. For this version I cloned out some distracting elements and adjusted the light/color slightly.

You believe
In God, for your part?--that He who makes
Can make good things from ill things, best from worst,
As men plant tulips upon dunghills when
They wish them finest.

Sol Duc Falls - Olympic National Park, Washington
This is a waterfall I've been lusting for since I first heard about it (I really should stop looking at awesome maps for places like the Olympic National Park). The angles are incredible. The water thunders down and smashes against the narrow far wall, causing a glorious mist to blast up toward the path. There really isn't a bad way to look at the falls. It's fabulous from the bridge, the rocks, the path, the top...
If you look closely, you can see an ant-sized Zeb standing on the far side rock. His pinhole is hiding behind the water blast.
Thanks to my fellow hikers for accompanying me for a birthday waterfall trek. You can't really put candles on a waterfall, but that would definitely be my choice of cake.

All day on the trip to get wood for business ..Swan after swan caught my eye.....the fall colors and the pools of water were just right ....of course when one is with my husband after he passes the first car while driving ..one...meaning Me ..does not asks to stop ..So I waited till wood was loaded and we were on our way home..
..Right outside of the little town of Cantwell on the summit...there they were three beautiful swans with in walking distance ....seeing only a few people with cameras along the road ...off I go down the hill...across the tundra, over the muskeg,,,,,just get close enough to start taking pics WHEN UP POPS THIS GUY ...so much for photo off swans..I turned and left so as not to spoil his dreams ...by the way there were three guys with cameras like his all sitting down in the brush along the lake.......

This is part of my job when in South Africa, looking after these beauties and also trying to make them famous, so people might give them some help too, which they really need, great creatures! www.cheetahexperience.com
High Jumper...Jumping spiders are generally diurnal, active hunters. Their well-developed internal hydraulic system extends their limbs by altering the pressure of body fluid (hemolymph) within them.

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did
