A very special place...it´s a wonderful village with a unique architecture.

In honor of St. Patrick's day I would like to introduce you to a little green snake - up close and personal. The name of the snake is actually a green snake. Love those eyes!! View On Black

Pompano Beach Fishing Pier, Pompano Beach, FL

This is the one shot from Saturday’s early morning photo shoot that survived my deleting spree. I don’t particularly like it, but it’s the best I got and the only one that didn’t go straight to the bin. I resisted my first impulse to just format the whole CF card without even downloading the images to my PC, but once on the computer I still didn’t like them one bit.

After driving around Friday evening on Key Biscayne and not taking a single shot because all looked like the “boring same old” to me I thought checking out a new shooting location might help. So I got up at 6:00 am on Saturday to drive to Pompano Beach and shoot the sunrise at the Hillsboro Lighthouse. Well that was the plan. I got there as dawn was breaking; it was stormy (almost knocked the car door off the hinges) and overcast and I didn’t like it at all. I couldn’t be bothered taking the camera out of the car, let alone walk along the beach to the lighthouse.

On the way to the lighthouse I had passed a sign pointing to the fishing pier, so I decided to go there. After all I got up at 6:00 to take some photos, right? I didn’t do much better there, but at least I took the camera and tripod out of the car. The conch stayed in the trunk. And after feeding the parking meter a few quarters I wandered off to the beach. I took 100+ shots before and after sunrise but one pier starts looking like the other to me, although they are different if you look closely.

I might go back there once I feel like taking photos again. Right now I can’t be bothered and for you that means “more stuff from the archives”. I still have 267 photos of Maya, the Jaguar cub… LOL).

You had me several years ago when I was still quite naive

Well you said that we made such a pretty pair

And that you would never leave

But you gave away the things you loved and one of them was me

I had some dreams, they were clouds in my coffee

I stopped on the interstate to take this picture. It had just snowed.

In walking by the fireplace in our family room I noticed the light streaming in from the overhead sky light. I then noticed the figure on the mantle pointing and looking up into the light. Had to grab the camera and shoot.

At my Mum's house, we spotted a Robin in her garden busy flying backwards and forwards bringing small amounts of twigs and things to build her nest with..

We were confined to the kitchen to view because we didn't want to disturb her working,, so I had to take these shots through the window..

Happy Thursday everyone...Hope you all have a marvellous day...Thanks for the comments and visits...Cheers, Ringgo.

While in the backyard, waiting for birds to come and visit our garden, for the first time I was visited by this beautiful Chickadee. As it sits on a branch of our peach tree, before it came to get some seeds from the feeder. Hope Y'all like this beautiful bird. Lol:
