Trout Lake in Northern Vilas County Wisconsin is a large 4000 plus acre lake and is the last lake to freeze over and the last open water I will see till May. Two days later this shot is only a beautiful memory because now the lake is frozen over.

Crimson Sunbirds are tiny, only 11cm long. They have medium-length thin down-curved bills and brush-tipped tubular tongues, both adaptations to their nectar feeding.

Whitetail deer fawns. They are taught by their mothers to cross one at a time for safety reasons, although not usually so close together. These fawns are related but they are not siblings. (potomacstar, all rights reserved)
This little fella lives in our bedroom normally, but for the photo he and his shadow nipped into Matt's bedroom instead! :~)
There is just something about a reflection in the Autumn. You get two breathtaking colorful shots in the same picture. Mirror Lake is in Northern Vilas county in Northern Wisconsin.
