The mesmerizing look...This shot was taken on Saturday night during the Sarawak Malay's tradition of "Belulut" - a local practice where the Bride adorned traditional costumes on the eve of her wedding.

But let there be spaces in your togetherness and let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.

Sort of a botanical illustration. (Adding: Botany Photo of the Day for October 13, 2007). The scientific name is corylus avellana 'Lewis', you know as hazelnut, Oregon locals call them filberts. The bloom is in about February, and the pollen on long catkins. The nut grows all summer, finally falling from the tree in late September or October.

This is a shot I put here for T. Michael Hammons....This reminds me of views that you like to photograph as well !!!!

This is a shot of the EEL RIVER.

Friendship Garden revisited... Taken this sunset on my way back from work today. Seen in the foreground a silhouette statue of Zheng He, who commanded voyages to Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, and East Africa, collectively referred to as the Voyages of Zheng He or Voyages of Cheng Ho from 1405 to 1433.

Taman Sahabat project was completed in 2005 and officially opened to public on 18.5.2006. This unique and picturesque park is the product of a close relationship between Kuching City and Kunming City of China. Due to its unique features, it is gaining popularity for the locals as well as tourists.

Today I was privilleged to have 2 peacocks show off their feathers to me. One was in the open and would only give me a side on view. This one was behind wire mesh and was quite happy to give me a full frontal.Unfortunately I couldnt fit him all in so his missing his legs. He's still pretty spectacular even though he is legless

I have also noticed that in the few photos I managed to get of him his neck & breast feathers look green not blue, I dont know if this was because of the light shining through the roof or whether this was his natural colour. The peacock that I took a photo of outside certainly had a blue neck

Growing in the garden......

Just bathed and Roma wants to play ball, what else? She is looking at me to see if I have her treasured toy. Warm sun colours too... The image below looks more like Roma's true colour.

Allen (asparks06) and I were photographing Red-breasted Nuthatches when a couple of Cardinals dropped in to feed. I had a little too much lens for this one but was pleased with the portrait angle.
