Everyone of us has all we need
Sky of blue and sea of green
In our yellow submarine.
The Pushkar Fair, or Pushkar ka Mela, is the annual five-day camel and livestock fair, held in the town of Pushkar in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is one of the world's largest camel fairs, and apart from buying and selling of livestock it has become an important tourist attraction and its highlights have become competitions such as the "matka phod", "longest moustache", and "bridal competition" are the main draws for this fair which attracts thousands of tourists. In recent years the fair has also included an exhibition cricket match between the local Pushkar club and a team of random foreign tourists. It is celebrated for five days from the Kartik ekadashi to Kartik Poornima, the full moon day (the 15th) of Kartik (November-December) in Hindu calendar. The full moon day is the main day and the day, according to legend, when the Hindu god Brahma sprung up the Pushkar Lake, thus numerous people swim in its sacred waters.

While traveling through southern Utah, we went for a midnight hike in Natural Bridges. It is reported to be one of the darkest places on earth. Simply amazing night sky! This 30 second exposure doesn't do it justice. The arch is lit entirely by moonlight coming from over my shoulder.
From WikiPedia:ladyslipper...
Lady's slipper orchids, or lady slipper orchids or slipper orchids are the orchids in the subfamily Cypripedioidea, which includes the genera Cypripedium, Mexipedium, Paphiopedilum, Phragmipedium and Selenipedium. They are characterised by the slipper-shaped pouches (modified labellums) of the flowers – the pouch traps insects so they are forced to climb up past the staminode, behind which they collect or deposit pollinia, thus fertilising the flower.

Dig if you will the picture
Of you and I engaged in a kiss
The sweat of your body covers me
Can you my darling
Can you picture this?
I'm not a sunset kind of photographer, and this isn't my usual sort of picture. It turned out pretty well, though, so I thought I'd show that I can do it occasionally.

Something a little different than my usual landscape. I'm becoming very sensitive to light these days. :-)
'EmptyNet.jpg' On Black Large.
i've gotta hold on
as these days go by
i keep on fallin'
you walk away
i give you everything, that i have to give
made my sacrifice, but you won't let me live
love is so green, in a beautiful kind of way
you've got me wrapped around, your prison ball and chain
you can never tell which you're gonna be
cus you're so obsessed, with your personalities
love is so sick, and you know god is love
you think you're somethin', somethin' from above
Iive gotta hold on
as all these days go by
hold on baby,
cus i'm fallin'
and you keep on walkin' away
and i can not see the sunrise...

I know what you're thinking—
You wonder why I chose her
Out of all the ladies in the world.
That's just a first impression—
What good's a first impression?
If you knew her like I do,
It would change your point of view.

The Erluanbi, or Eluan Pi or Eluanbi, lighthouse was completed in 1883, following requests from the American and Japanese governments to the Chinese governnent after several shipwrecks occurred in the 1860s. Chinese troops had to be sent to protect the lighthouse during construction from attacks by local tribesmen, and the lighthouse was surrounded by a fort with cannons and a ditch for protection[2]. It is one of the rare examples in the world of a fortified lighthouse. The lighthouse itself is 21.4 m high and its light is 56.4 m above the tidal high water. The light flashes every 10 seconds and it range is 27.2 nautical miles. (from Wikipedia)

The gateway to eternity reflected on the Dining room table.
The thin rod rising above the table is the hoist to raise water from the well.
I was there alone with the camera........
