Muscari ....aka 'grape hyacinth'

Muscari is a genus of perennial bulbous plants native to Eurasia that produce spikes of dense, most commonly blue, urn-shaped flowers resembling bunches of grapes in the spring. The common name for the genus is Grape Hyacinth (a name which is also used for the genera Leopoldia and Pseudomuscari). Another common name is Baby's Breath. A number of species are used as ornamental garden plants.

The genus Muscari originated in the Old World, including the Mediterranean basin, central and southern Europe, northern Africa, western, central and south-western Asia. It has become naturalized elsewhere, including northern Europe and the United States.

The name muscari comes from the Greek muschos, musk, referring to the scent......from wikipedia

While in the greenhouse on this day, I saw that one of our Passion plants had opened up to show of it's beauty. I wanted to share with you all on this Sunday this wonderful image. Hope Y'all like it.!

Waratah (Telopea) is a genus of five species of large shrubs or small trees in the Proteaceae, native to the southeastern parts of Australia (New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania). They have spirally arranged leaves 10-20 cm long and 2-3 cm broad with entire or serrated margins, and large, dense flowerheads 6-15 cm diameter with numerous small red flowers and a basal ring of red bracts. The name waratah comes from the Eora Aboriginal people, the original inhabitants of the Sydney area

I am very grateful for single invites but really don't want multiple ones. PLEASE no personal graphics, spinning or flashing comments. They stress my eyes.

For today I would like to share with all my flickr friends this awesome image of a beautiful Yellow Chrysanthemum Blossom. These wonderful flowers come in a variety of colors, but I prefer the Yellow Chrysanthemum's. Hope Y'all like it.
