The Nature Conservancy Earth Day Picnic in Millennium Park.
Awesome Earth Day celebration in Millennium Park---for $30 per person in a huge event tent within steps of "the bean" we had lunch, watched cooking demonstrations by Food Network celebrities and were treated to a hour and 15 minute set by Blind Pilot.
Blind Pilot's CD was on heavy rotation at our house last year at this time. They sound great live. Really nice, talented kids with down to earth, fun banter between songs.
Reynishverfisvegur, just outside of Vik in southern Iceland, was one of the craziest black sand beaches I saw in the time I was in iceland..... such a beautiful place, but man it was windy

Kirkjufjara Beach, a short drive from Vik on the southern coast, was an amazing place and this was by far the best sunset we had the entire trip

Took this awesome hike through Narrows last week. Hiking in winter was an unique experience. With snow on the ground and flurries in the air - this was a great hike to photograph this amazing place.

Hope everyone had an awesome Earth Day yesterday! Mine ended around a campfire and I couldn't be happier about it.
This is my gorgeous co-worker Kristyn. We took this during a weekend educational retreat to the Blue Ridge mountains that my boss took us on. One day after class we went on a nature walk and stumbled upon this fort, one large falling tree across the top with smaller branches and logs stacked against it to form a teepee. Someone spent a lot of time building this special place, and I immediately knew I had to make a photograph in it!

Call it what you like, its an amazing place and a city I love visiting, which for me is strange, as I don't usually like big cities.... There is something about New York though that has me hooked

We did it! On November 26th 2010, we managed to create this 90x50 m. giant scarab using fabric and people in the Wadi El Natroun desert.
The idea was to communicate the importance of solar energy as a source of Egypt's future energy needs and to encourage country delegates meeting at the UN climate summit in Cancun to commit to a globally effective climate change agreement.

Lower Antelpoe Canyon is located in Page, Arizona and is located on Navajo Indian land. Photographers can park at the parking lot and get a special photographers pass which entitles you to approx 2 hours in there without a guide, something that CAN not be done in Upper Antelope Canyon.. It is for this reason I like Lower Antelope much better than Upper Antelope.
