These misty mornings are something that I've been waiting for whole winter, now they are here. In couple months, I'll start to miss those crispy mornings, with temperature of -25C, but lets face the summer first!
Only shot I manage to get on that very dark location last week. Tomorrow, or day after I got my hands on my new Nikon D610 camera, cant wait!
„Seeing a cloud inversion is always special. This one took place when I have been on a northern vantage point on Teneriffe. It looked like creatures coming out of the ocean, walking over the isle.“ - Max

Was walking around in the highlands of Teneriffe - a true photographers heaven. After a very fine sunrise walked by this natural window and of course I to take the shot. Back in the studio, I am quite satisfied with the result. I really like the dark shadows on the foreground bushes and stones and the morning light on Pico del Teide.

Have been on a hike on the southwest slope of the lava fields of Teide. Was fascinated about the canary pines there growing on the lava fields. So, I was pretty convinced there must be photographic scenes but had not the time for a really good scouting. Finally, the sunset was amazing and while right behind me the sky was glowing insane, I decided to keep on working on this composition. Thanks to my dad, which dropped me off on the trailhead and picked me up long after sunset.

This trip was dedicated to meet with my family and to take pictures of the amazing volcanic landscapes within the Atlantic ocean. The photograph was taken at the very first evening, when I have arrived at the airport, took the rental car and drove up to the Caldera de las Cañadas. This is a huge volcanic crater at 2000 m over the ocean and with 17 km in diameter. 500 meters high rock walls form the crater rim. In the middle of the crater, the Pico del Teide rises 3715 m over the ocean. A very otherworldly scenery.

Picture from last night. I realised, that its time to me move on the full-frame system, since nightphotography becomes my thing more and more.
This shot was on my hard drive for six months until I decided to process and show it. For sure, it has many cons, especially in technical terms. I am also not overall happy with the composition. But on the other hand it comes with quite a lot of elements I like much. Starting with the purple sky and the rich tones of the nice meadow. This reflects for me exactly the mood of this very fine spring morning. But I like also the muddy brown tones in the foreground and the variety of different species with their shape and texture, including the wild yellow mustard.

Mayakovskaya (Russian: Маяковская), is a Moscow Metro station on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line, in the Tverskoy District of central Moscow.
The name as well as the design is a reference to Futurism and its prominent Russian exponent Vladimir Mayakovsky. Considered to be one of the most beautiful in the system, it is a fine example of pre-World War II Stalinist Architecture and one of the most famous Metro stations in the world. It is most well known for its 34 ceiling mosaics depicting "24 Hours in the Land of the Soviets." During World War II, it was used as a command post for Moscow's anti-aircraft regiment.

With the day dropping it’s curtain down ..the last leaking light from the horizon created this amazing hues over the mountain and moon lake (Chandratal). The transition is worth to witness !!
In winter you will come across many such amazing features and formations of frozen moment created by the big chill , on the surface and at banks of the Pangong Tso.
An impressive crescent shaped flaky ice formation as the wave got frozen in time, offered a striking perspective as I lay down on the frozen bed of the lake.

Bloody moon from last friday night. Once again the clouds happened and reduced the visibility of a lunar eclipse.
High altiude lakes are always fascinating ..there are numbers of unknown or rather hidden lakes in himalaya which requires a lot of effort to reach ..Dhankar lake is such one , situated at an altitude of almost 4300 mts from sea level and can be approached from dhankar village in spiti by a steep uphill trek full of loose rocks and pebbles ...Dhankar lake and the Manirang range as seen on a clear day !!
Last night I experienced the best auroras I've ever seen. That scene was so unreal when the sky exploded to beautiful show of aurora borealis.
This is where things started getting more interesting in winter ladakh.
Sometime back in 2014 summer when we got the first glimpse of Pangong Tso , just could not able to utter a single word and completely lost in the tranquility of its calm azure blue water and vastness.Someone just said “it seems someone just put blue ink in the water”. It was true I had never seen such blue water before.
Now this is another mood of Pangong Tso , completely frozen.Seems like time itself has come to a standstill and ordered each and every flow to go statue and everyone following the order obediently. Now the blue hue is gone and the vast lake has transformed itself into a thick white sheet of ice.But Pangong Tso never deprives you.The insurmountable beauty of Pangong Tso leaves you numb every time.
We were lucky to get a clear weather to witness a great sunset and managed to see a great sunrise in that freezing temp and it unveiled the magic again and again . As you stand on the lake and the sun pops up at horizon , the lake starts playing with light. The honey light slowly start melting on the lake and spread across the cracks and ripples, creates an absolutely stunning effect which can not be described in words.
The winter mood of great Pangong Tso.
