The Maryland Department of Agriculture proudly participated in a unique educational experience for 7th-grade students from Queen Anne’s County Public Schools, focused on the importance of agriculture—the state’s number one industry. As a sponsor of the event, the Department set up a booth to engage students and highlight the vital role agriculture plays in our daily lives. This collaborative effort, alongside agricultural educators and professionals, aimed to inspire the next generation about the significance of agriculture in sustaining our growing population.

The National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) in partnership with Relief International organized Media Awareness Campaign program, held for 40 participants drawn from the Media, civil society, local universities, at Mogadishu’s Siyaad City Hotel on Thursday November 13, 2014.
The one day event, which was supported by the European Union, was entitled “Connecting between people and Media” and was aimed at highlighting the importance of the media to the public and its benefits and contributions to a building a healthy and democratic society, the public perception and exploring the future of the Somali media.
