So, with this piece, my portfolio (for this year) is done! This is my last quality piece, all my concentrations are done and uploaded where they need to be, all my breadth pieces are where they need to be, and thankfully, my commentary is done! I am finished and I am happy about it. But, it's also kind of bittersweet.
It's all good, though. I have Photoshop and my awesome camera at home, and I'm still taking photography next year, so it's all good.:)

Pole Day qualifying for the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 delivered the drama, speed, and precision that define the Month of May. With every driver completing a four‑lap average in the Dallara IR‑18 chassis, the field pushed the limits of consistency and outright pace on the 2.5‑mile oval.
Alex Palou claimed the provisional pole with a stunning 232.248 mph four‑lap average, posting laps of 38.6518, 38.7351, 38.8190, and 38.8007 seconds. Alexander Rossi secured the middle of the front row with a 231.990 mph run, while David Malukas completed the front row at 231.877 mph. These three set the benchmark heading into the Fast 12 and Fast 6 sessions.

The Top 12 featured a mix of veterans and rising stars, including:

- Felix Rosenqvist (231.375 mph)

January 2011 compared to past years
January 2011 had the lowest ice extent for the month since the beginning of satellite records. The linear rate of decline for the month is –3.3% per decade. Ice extent for the Arctic as a whole increased at an average of 42,800 square kilometers (16,500 square miles) per day through the month of January, which is about average.
