Pole Day qualifying for the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 delivered the drama, speed, and precision that define the Month of May. With every driver completing a four‑lap average in the Dallara IR‑18 chassis, the field pushed the limits of consistency and outright pace on the 2.5‑mile oval.
Alex Palou claimed the provisional pole with a stunning 232.248 mph four‑lap average, posting laps of 38.6518, 38.7351, 38.8190, and 38.8007 seconds. Alexander Rossi secured the middle of the front row with a 231.990 mph run, while David Malukas completed the front row at 231.877 mph. These three set the benchmark heading into the Fast 12 and Fast 6 sessions.

The Top 12 featured a mix of veterans and rising stars, including:
- Palou, Rossi, Malukas
- Felix Rosenqvist (231.375 mph)
- Santino Ferrucci (230.846 mph)
- Pato O’Ward (230.442 mph)

These drivers advanced to fight for the pole, with speeds ranging from the mid‑229s to over 232 mph.

The Fast 6 showdown featured:

Each driver withdrew their earlier times to take one final shot at the pole. Palou’s consistency and raw pace ultimately secured him the top spot, while Rossi and Malukas locked in the remainder of the front row.
Pole Day qualifying is one of the most intense days of the Month of May, and these images capture the precision, speed, and pressure of four‑lap averages at over 230 mph.
