This is my living room (or part of it) I have a plastic table, but for some reason they wanted to color on the floor. The brown box in the background (with the green plastic bag coming out of it) is the "Caixa de piquinotes" (the kid's box) where I keep scratch paper for them to color on and markers that I know will get dried out. Also, if you look on the wall, there's kids drawings...I let them tape whatever they want to the wall: it makes it feel more homey and they like it a lot.

According to the on board computer in the Transit it tends to average very low 30's/high 20's MPG. Not exactly great and always seemed very low compared to what others seem to get.
I tended to ignore it but considering the trip computer tends to over estimate figures I wondered just how bad it actually was.
About 10,000 miles ago I reset the trip computer (trip mileage resets separately) and used the Fuelly app to get an accurate fuel consumption.
Appears the trip computer underestimates by quite some margin! I can put up with a ~34mpg average, especially as I very rarely drive in what can be considered an economical way with a good mix of town and motorway driving.
Uninterestingly, over the past 10199 miles the Transit has cost me 20.3p per mile for fuel. Over nearly 50k miles my old Defender (which had the previous version of the engine in the Transit) averaged 29.8mpg but due to fuel averaging £1.31 per litre back then (as opposed to £1.54 now) it still works out at 20.1p per mile.
This is bad because using some very flawed logic I'm now telling myself that another Defender wouldn't be a bad idea.....
