The MC-130H Combat Talon II, like the MC-130E Combat Talon I, can perform a variety of mission profiles, from daytime mid-level overwater flight and Jumpmaster Directed (JMD) personnel airdrop to night-time adverse weather terrain-following flight in mountainous terrain supporting airdrop and airland to covert and clandestine objectives. Increases in automation reduced the aircrew by two and allowed the Combat Talon II to carry an additional pallet of cargo compared to the Combat Talon I. Initial Operational capability was reached on 30 June 1993.

ZIGBEE BASED HOSPITAL AUTOMATION WITH ONLINE GRAPH AND WAP
ABSTRACT
In hospitals, the patients in the ICU need a constant monitoring of their temperature, BP and heart beat. This project is a working model which incorporates sensors to measure important parameters namely the temperature, respiratory temperature and ECG. The sensors are interfaced to computer, so that the condition of a patient can be analyzed by doctors in any part of the hospital wherever they are. Thus it reduces doctor’s work load and also gives more accurate results.
Whenever there is an abnormality felt by the patient, the particular patient will give an alarm signal, by which the doctor can rush to the patient. Even when the patient is in an unconscious condition, all the parameters will be sensed and doctor will be cautioned with a multimedia support. A saline monitoring system has been incorporated, which gives an alarm when the saline bottle is about to be empty. The data collected by the PC are recorded in separate file with date and time, which can be used for future references by the doctors.
ZigBee was designed with these applications in mind and understand the importance of low cost. For that reason, it was designed to run on the existing 8-bit MCUs that control many devices in these areas, reducing the need for additional processing power. Freescale’s 2.4 GHz band ZigBee-ready RF transceivers can be used worldwide, eliminating the need to redesign and certify a product for various markets or regions.
This technology has a desired impact on industrial and hospital automation. The hardware of this project is built on a printed circuit board, constituting PIC micro controller 30F4013. It is a versatile micro controller with in-built features such as 12 bit multi-channel ADC, USART, synchronous serial port, programmable low voltage detection circuit etc, which is to be interfaced to PC system through RS232C. The necessary signals from the external cords, like different patients temperatures can be converted in to digital form by giving them to dsPIC. The software can be easily modified for any alarm setting or record intervals since it is written in Visual Basic.

The objective of patient monitoring is to have a quantitative assessment of the important physiological variables of patients during critical periods of biological functions. For diagnostic and research purposes, it is necessary to know their actual value or trend of change. Patient monitoring systems are used for measuring continuously or at regular intervals, automatically, the values of the patient’s important physiological parameters. The long term objective of patient monitoring, is to decrease mortality and morbidity by
(i)Organizing and displaying information in a meaningful form to improve patient care.
(ii)Correlating multiple parameters for clear demonstration of clinical problems.
(iii)Processing the data to set alarms on the development of abnormal conditions.
(iv)Providing information, based on automated data, regarding therapy.
(v)Ensuring better care with fewer staff members.
Complete Body Scanning System deals with real time continuous monitoring and recording of some of the parameters like body temperature, electrocardiogram, respiratory temperature as well as their analysis. It also deals with the alarm system for patient call, saline checking and temperature level. With the advent of computerization in biomedical field, this project has very wide scope, due to the computerized data acquisition, monitoring and control incorporated in it. It reduces the workload of doctors and also gives more accurate results.

April 12, 2017: This is a manual DIN rail shear. In use a rail is inserted thru a hole that is cut with an EDM into two tool steel sections. The top handle has a cam and a 90 degree rotation downward rotates the moving jaw of the shear and the cut is done very cleanly without distortion or burring of the edges.
