Kinetic Sculpture
Can machines fight for what they want? Are water and electricity really such a bad mix? Fight or fight is a kinetic artwork that responds to these questions. The mechanical performers of Fight or fight are imbued with a desire to compete. Above all, they desire the prize.
In an automated tug of war played out in the arena of the artificial pond outside of Roy Thomson Hall, animated fishing rods battle over their quarry. The ‘fish' is a driver-less full size canoe, pulled helplessly to and fro by its pursuers. The hunters are patient, moving slowly, almost leisurely, biding their time... for the right moment... until their prey, exhausted, submits.
The rules of this game are indeterminate, yet these mechanized competitors stubbornly insist on playing simply because they know no other way. It is not altogether clear who wins, how or when, or whether there can even be a victor.
This year, emphasis has been put on Automated Fault Analysis (AFA), which reached a significant maturity level. Proof of such maturity is the deployment of our tool, IVPower, to nearly a dozen of international Transmission Utilities.

Every individual making an origami bird to one making a giant robotic arm is considered a maker and Maker Fest celebrates this epiphany of innovators, creators and designers ranging from a weaving artist to a rocket scientist. It is the platform for people who create magic using the technology hidden under the roof. Stretching from every corner of India, it is all about developing a great maker community in the country where people can learn and share in depth about the art. It is a trigger to a giant explosion of creativity that buzzes inside every innovator to showcase the resourcefulness of possessed knowledge by implementing it to a greater use.
Maker Fest is the Indian continuation of Maker Faire hosted across America, Europe, Africa and Japan, among others. Maker Faire, which launched in California, USA in 2006, now hosts hundreds of thousands attendees twice a year across California and New York. It is the amalgamation of festivals celebrating the innovators and an art show with all the booths for inventors and demonstrations and workshops for attendees. Creators, artists and hobbyist across the country are invited to present their contemporary applications of ideas using the vast ocean of art, science and technology. Also, it is non-commercial and free for the public to attend.
Maker Fest monumentalizes not only the final product but also the learning and explorations one faced during the making of something new using the already established. Come together to build up an enormous community of Makers in India as India is renowned of having the greatest intellectual horsepower among other countries of world.

City diorama is made by 28 members of BrickMaster LUG. It is based upon city of Copenhagen, capital of Denmark.
The city diorama contains landmarks of renowned companies of Denmark. Maersk container ship is being loaded in harbor. Vestas wind generator is set up to provide electricity to diorama city. DSB(Danske Statsbaner : Danish State Railways) runs through railroad.
The train system is fully automatic controlled. When two trains come across in a cross section, electricity of one side of railroad is being cut-off temporary, so that the each train can go through the cross section sequentially without crashing accident. Crossing gates and traffic lights works automatically when trains come and leave crossings so that the safety of the city's inhabitants can be assured. This level of automated train system is the first in the Korea.

Advancing and receding contact angles are readily determined by inclining the substrate and allowing the drop to deform as a function of gravity. By mounting a ramé-hart goniometer on the optional Automated Tilting Base, it is possible to incline not only the substrate but the entire instrument, preserving perfectly the optics-to-specimen alignment. The system is completely automated and biometric based. The ID card that I carry carries my fingerprint and mugshot encrypted on a smart card chip. It is inserted into a reader. When the person ahead of me clears immigration, the card is spit back out and I walk into a gated area, where they do a fingerprint scan, snap a digital photography for reference, and do a thermographic scan (to make sure I'm not carrying SARS or Bird Flu). Once the fingerprint matches what's on record, the doors swings open and the next person walks in (with the relevant biometric data already downloaded by the control computer as I'm getting fingerprinted).
