Launched in 1969 as a direct competitor to the Jaguar E-Type, Triumph TR5, Alfa Spider and Healey 3000, the Datsun 240Z amazed everyone by becoming the best-selling sports car of all time, clocking up over a million sales (the vast majority in America) before it was replaced by the equally successful 260Z in 1974.
With a combination of Ferrari-esque styling, bullet proof mechanicals and a lusty straight-six engine, the car's popular appeal was cemented by a highly successful career in international rallying. Apart from its larger engine which now produced 162bhp in place of the 240’s 150bhp, the 260Z also had a stiffer chassis and improved heating/ventilation and was slightly faster at 127mph flat out.
In 1975 a 280Z version was launched for the American market only which kept the classic 240Z/260Z body shape but added a larger 2.8-litre fuel-injected engine now with 170bhp. Beautifully balanced and with fine handling from its all-round independent suspension, it had sharp 2.7 turns lock-to-lock steering and powerful front disc brakes. Also available in 2+2 format, it remained in production until 1978 when it was replaced by the much larger and heavier 280ZX.

The Shoppers Drug Mart on 22nd Street West in Saskatoon went through some major renovation process in 2004. As part of the renovations, these doors came with it. However, if you look at the entrance door, there is a major flaw with it. The sensor is not even from Stanley. In addition to that, do you see that silver decal? From the inside, it basically tells you that you need to push the door to go outside in the event of an emergency. Well, that's no longer possible, as the store decided to install a piece of metal that prevents the door from being pushed outwards.

These shots are of a Beaulieu R16 16mm Automatic camera. Just pulled it out of my dads shed :D. Its in near mint condition as its been left in an airtight box for all those years. The lens is an amazing Canon TV 17-102mm F2. I was able to find digital version of the original brochure, it is described as "Light as a feather".....3kg is a heavy feather.

Cool stuff: A Ross Mark III rifle converted to an automatic rifle with the cooling system copied from the Lewis gun, the Huot also had the bolt covered in a sheet metal housing. This was a prototype for the Canadian army in 1916 when they had a major shortage of machine guns. Only four were ever built. I wonder if even one of them still exists. Though few people know about it (low demand) the fact that there's only four would make it extremely valuable if one still exists.

This morning the automatic water supply was frozen. Even the water in which sugar is added.
It was minus 8 degree Celcius.
Nevertheless, all birds that were accustomed to came by and picked up a little bit of ice
